Background: Patients living with various rare or orphan diseases (ROD) experience common psychosocial difficulties. Those need emerge from a combination of factors, such as the large variety of patients and the rarity of resources, as well as concentrated efforts on physical health needs that yielded increases in life expectancy and quality in patients. A gap is therefore rising in the consideration of psychosocial needs of patients, such as coping with the impacts of physical limitations, reducing social isolation and distress.

Purpose: The main objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of the participation of students and health professionals who provided free health screenings for athletes with intellectual disabilities (ID) during their sports competitions on their attitudes toward people with ID.

Methods: Quantitative data were collected from 51 students and health professionals during the 2017 Summer Games organised by Special Olympics Québec. A single group test-retest design was used.

Objective: Train drivers are regularly involved in railway critical incidents (CI) and critical incident management and support protocols (CIMSPs) have been developed to support them. This study describes the impact of CIs and evaluates the effectiveness of CIMSPs.

Methods: We interviewed 74 train drivers 1 week, 1, 3, and 6 months after a CI.
