The text discusses the importance of considering various factors in user interface design, including technologies, user needs, and design components, as existing recommendations vary widely in detail and consistency.
The objective of the study was to critically analyze and compile user interface design recommendations into a practical set for different technologies through a multi-step expert evaluation process.
The final result yielded 174 organized recommendations, categorized into generic and specific levels based on usability principles, while indicating the need for further refinement on certain recommendations for specific technologies and interaction methods.
