This dataset is a result of the collaboration between the University of A Coruña and the University Hospital of A Coruña. It contains information about 531 women diagnosed with HER2+ breast cancer, treated with potentially cardiotoxic oncologic therapies. These treatments can cause cardiovascular adverse events, including cardiac systolic dysfunction, the development of which has important clinical and prognostic implications.

Aims: Exercise echocardiography (ExE) may evaluate left ventricular (LV) systolic and diastolic function. We aimed to assess the value of diastolic parameters at exercise [early LV inflow velocity to early tissue Doppler annulus velocity (E/e')] in patients with normal or abnormal resting diastolic function (DF) referred for a clinically indicated ExE.

Methods And Results: LV systolic and DF according to ASE/EACVI guidelines and mitral regurgitation (MR) were evaluated at rest in 772 patients (age 67 ± 12 years) with preserved LV ejection fraction (LVEF ≥ 50%).

Aims: Maximum oxygen uptake (VO ) is an essential parameter to assess functional capacity of patients with heart failure (HF). We aimed to identify clinical factors that determine its value, as they have not been well characterized yet.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective, observational, single-centre study of 362 consecutive patients with HF who underwent cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) as part of standard clinical assessment since 2009-2019.

Background: No data are available about whether Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic have led to changes in clinical profiles or results of exercise testing once the usual activity was reassumed, as well as if wearing a facemask has any impact on the tests. The aim of this study is to evaluate differences in the patients referred to exercise stress testing in the context of COVID-19 pandemic and analyse the feasibility and results of these tests wearing a facemask.

Methods: We included all patients referred for an exercise test from 1 June to 30 September 2020 and compared them with the patients attended within the same period in 2019 before and after propensity score matching.

Prosthetic valve endocarditis is a rare but serious complication of cardiac valve replacement, and echocardiography plays a fundamental role in its diagnosis and management. However, there is not much information about the use of the 3D transillumination rendering in this context. In this report, we present an unusual case of prosthetic valve endocarditis that exemplifies the utility of this new tool.

Introduction And Objectives: To assess the potential association between recipient Toxoplasma gondii serostatus and outcomes after heart transplant (HT).

Methods: We conducted a retrospective single-center study of 657 HT recipients from 1991 to 2015. Survival and the incidence of adverse clinical events of T.

Background: Prognosis in pulmonary hypertension (PH) is related to right ventricular (RV) function. Quantification of RV mechanics may offer additive value. The objective of our study is to determine the feasibility and clinical and prognostic value of RV strain analysis by cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) based feature tracking (FT) in PH.

Background And Objective: Syncope is a common condition and complex to diagnose. The yield of the 24h-Holter ECG in this context has not been clearly defined. The aim of this study was to evaluate its diagnostic and prognostic capacity in these patients.

Introduction: Scarce data are available on the temporal patterns in clinical characteristics and outcomes of elderly patients referred for exercise stress testing. We aimed to assess the trends in baseline characteristics, tests results, referrals for invasive management, and mortality in these patients.

Methods: We evaluated 11,192 patients aged ≥65years who were referred for exercise stress testing between January 1998 and December 2013.

Aims: Limited data are available regarding changes over time in referral patterns and outcomes of non-invasive cardiac stress testing. Our aim was to evaluate the temporal changes in the use and results of exercise echocardiography in our area of reference.

Methods And Results: A total of 12 339 patients referred to our unit for exercise echocardiography between 1997 and 2012 were included.

Background: A high frequency of venous thromboembolism (VTE) has been observed after lung, kidney, and liver transplantation. However, data about the incidence of this complication among heart transplant (HT) recipients are lacking.

Methods: We analyzed the incidence, recurrence, and predisposing factors of VTE in a single-center cohort of 635 patients who underwent HT from April 1991 to April 2013.
