Methods: We sampled the extent of management and marketing coursework in the doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) curricula in the United States (US) by examining website descriptions of the best pharmacy schools in 2020 (N = 134) as ranked by the US News and World report. Links to curriculum descriptions and catalogs were reviewed for coursework having the words, marketing, management, entrepreneurship, or business plan in the title.
Background And Purpose: To gauge the potential effect of mode of content delivery on overall student success in a pharmaceutical sciences course in a doctor of pharmacy program.
Educational Activity And Setting: Principles of Drug Action I (PDAI) is a first-year pharmaceutical science course typically taught by multiple faculty, and each utilizes their own approach to deliver course content. Over a seven year period, the course naturally separated into blocks.
Purpose: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a common complication among patients with diabetes mellitus; however, noncompliance with the recommended annual screening is common. Increased screening among high-risk patients is important to identify the early stages CKD, potentially resulting in earlier treatment, slower progression, fewer complications, and decreased healthcare expenditures. Motivational interviewing (MI) has previously been shown to be effective for various behaviors, such as smoking cessation and cholesterol level control.

It also provides data about the safety and efficacy of the preparations.

This article analyzes MAC programs in five States and finds considerable variation between these programs and the FUL program in both size and pricing aggressiveness. We conclude that expansion of existing MAC programs and creation of new ones could contribute to cost containment efforts nationwide.
