Method: Twenty white rabbits were used. Colony-forming units (CFU) of Staphylococcus epidermidis were injected intravitreally into the right eye of each animal.
Purpose: To describe a case of ocular tuberculoma mimicking primary intraocular lymphoma.
Methods/results: A 66-year-old male presented with an exudative retinal detachment, a whitish lesion, and +2 vitreous cells. A PCR that was performed twice was positive for intraocular lymphoma; a PPD was also strongly positive and the patient received anti-TB drugs as a first-line treatment, with complete resolution of all his ocular symptoms.
Aims: The aim of the study is to assess pupil size changes and mobility evaluation as a diagnostic marker in patients with probable Alzheimer's disease (AD).
Material And Methods: Twenty-three control subjects and 23 patients with probable AD entered the study. The latter patients had been under observation for 2 years and had undergone all necessary examinations to verify their initial diagnosis.
Purpose: To compare primary pars-plana vitrectomy (PPV) alone vs vitrectomy with an encircling scleral buckling procedure for the treatment of primary rhegmatogenous pseudophakic retinal detachment (PsRD).
Design: Prospective, nonrandomized, comparative study.
Methods: All 71 eyes of 68 consecutive patients with PsRD presented to our service between 1998 and 2002 were offered either vitrectomy alone (group-A) or vitrectomy in combination with encircling scleral buckling procedure (group-B).

The purpose of our study was to evaluate the anatomical and functional results of vitrectomy for clinically active VTS.
Patients And Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 38 consecutive eyes from 36 patients (average age 71.
