Introduction: The role of radiographers is continuously expanding and holds a key position in the healthcare system due to the increasing complexity in patient care and support. Therefore, with a rise of demand for increasingly specialized and advanced skills, it is important to provide newly hired professionals with structured induction programs. This study proposes to explore the perceptions of newly qualified radiographers who have already experienced transition into practice.

Recently, generative Large Language Models, have shown promising results in medical education. This study aims to use ChatGPT to simulate radiographer-patient conversations about the critical moment of claustrophobia management during MRI, exploring how Artificial Intelligence can improve radiographers' communication skills.

Methods: In June 2023, a systematic review (Medline/Embase/Web of Science) was performed to search original articles on environmental sustainability in radiology.

How to run successful tutor-training programs for radiographers: A systematic review and considerations for future perspectives.

Introduction: Healthcare professions differ from each other, therefore need different approaches in teaching clinical practices. While teaching and learning designs for medical students are widely present on databases, few information is available for radiographers. The aim of this research is to define tools and knowledge needed to develop successful tutor-training programs that can be cross-cutting and inter-disciplinary for radiography profession, taking inspiration from other healthcare professions' programs since the paucity of evidence for radiographers.

Mesenchymal plasticity has been extensively described in advanced and metastatic epithelial cancers; however, its functional role in malignant progression, metastatic dissemination and therapy response is controversial. More importantly, the role of epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) and cell plasticity in tumor heterogeneity, clonal selection and clonal evolution is poorly understood. Functionally, our work clarifies the contribution of EMT to malignant progression and metastasis in pancreatic cancer.

The prevalence of benthic dinoflagellates associated with ciguatera fish poisoning in the central Red Sea.

This study confirms the presence of the toxigenic benthic dinoflagellates Gambierdiscus belizeanus and Ostreopsis spp. in the central Red Sea. To our knowledge, this is also the first report of these taxa in coastal waters of Saudi Arabia, indicating the potential occurrence of ciguatera fish poisoning (CFP) in that region.

Investigation of reference levels and radiation dose associated with abdominal EVAR (endovascular aneurysm repair) procedures across several European Centres.

Objectives: Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) is considered the treatment of choice for abdominal aortic aneurysms with suitable anatomy. In order to improve radiation safety, European Directive (2013/59) requires member states to implement diagnostic reference levels (DRLs) in radio-diagnostic and interventional procedures. This study aimed to determine local DRLs for EVAR across five European centres and identify an interim European DRL, which currently remains unestablished.

Benthic Dinoflagellate Integrator (BEDI): A new method for the quantification of Benthic Harmful Algal Blooms.

Despite the potential negative human health, ecological and economic impact, the ecology of harmful benthic dinoflagellate blooms remains largely unknown. This is probably due to the complex interactions among biotic and abiotic drivers that influence blooms, but also to the difficulty in quantifying cell abundance in a comparable way over large spatial and temporal scales. One of the recognized priorities for bHABs (benthic Harmful Algal Blooms) assessment is developing and standardizing methods that can provide comparable data.

Molecular biodiversity of Red Sea demosponges.

Sponges are important constituents of coral reef ecosystems, including those around the Arabian Peninsula. Despite their importance, our knowledge on demosponge diversity in this area is insufficient to recognize, for example, faunal changes caused by anthropogenic disturbances. We here report the first assessment of demosponge molecular biodiversity from Arabia, with focus on the Saudi Arabian Red Sea, based on mitochondrial and nuclear ribosomal molecular markers gathered in the framework of the Sponge Barcoding Project.

Metacognitive interpersonal therapy for co-occurrent avoidant personality disorder and substance abuse.

Many patients with substance abuse problems present with co-occurrent cluster C personality disorders. Focusing on both disorders disrupts the maintenance mechanisms and the vicious cycle between the 2 conditions; however, treatment teams often neglect this issue. In this work, we describe the features of metacognitive interpersonal therapy as applied to a man with avoidant and depressive personality disorders and heroin, cocaine, and alcohol abuse.

Innate immune receptor expression in peri-implant tissues of patients with different susceptibility to periodontal diseases.

Background: Although inflammation mediates the pathogenesis of periodontal diseases, the effects of innate immune responses on implant therapies have not been evaluated. Innate immune receptors, including toll-like-receptors (TLRs) and the receptor for advanced glycated end-products (RAGE), are upregulated within inflamed gingiva and are responsible for initiation of detrimental host responses. The aim of this study is to compare the expression of TLR2, TLR4, and RAGE in gingival tissues from participants susceptible to periodontitis and participants not susceptible to periodontitis before and after implant therapy.

Dialogical relationships in impoverished narratives: from theory to clinical practice.

Individuals are guided in their actions in the world by a set of narratives portraying them in their relations with others. The narratives contain representations of self, of the world, of the various characters with which individuals interact and of the forms of relationship that they foresee establishing. Within the narratives the various characters, each from the position of an independent author, negotiate the meaning of events.

[Pancreatic pseudocysts: apropos of a case of pancreatitis and the puerperium].

A 26 years old white patient with diagnosis of a pancreatitis and pancreatic pseudocyst during the puerperium is reported. Among the most important diagnostic procedure we have used are the endoscopy, Rx and TC. Cholecystectomy showed many small stones.
