Laparoscopy and robotic surgery are progressively gaining popularity in pediatric urology, especially for nephrectomy and orchidopexy. To our knowledge only five laparoscopic intraperitoneal appendicovesicostomy (Mitrofanoff) cases have been described in the pediatric literature. We present for the first time a case of combined use of a laparoscopic approach for appendicovesicostomy, nephrectomy and orchidopexy in an 8-year-old boy.

To understand better the ureteral response to EP we performed a timed histopathological evaluation of the porcine ureter after Acucise (Applied Medical, Rancho Santa Margarita, California) EP.
Materials And Methods: In 28 domestic pigs bilateral Acucise EPs were performed and bilateral 7Fr stents were placed.
Background And Purpose: In patients with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD), laparoscopic cyst decortication (LCD) has been proposed as a means to relieve chronic cyst-related pain. We present our 7-year experience with LCD for ADPKD with regard to pain relief, hypertension, and renal function.
Patients And Methods: Between August 1994 and February 2001, 29 ADPKD patients with chronic pain (N=29), hypertension (N=21), and renal insufficiency (N=10) underwent 35 LCD procedures.
