Myocardial bridges: A meta-analysis.

Myocardial bridges are anatomical entities characterized by myocardium covering segments of coronary arteries. In some patients, the presence of a myocardial bridge is benign and is only incidentally found on autopsy. In other patients, however, myocardial bridges can lead to compression of the coronary artery during systolic contraction and delayed diastolic relaxation, resulting in myocardial ischemia.

Effect of Rainfall on the Microbial Water Quality of a Tropical Urban Catchment.

Wet weather conditions have been associated with increased bacterial and viral counts in surface waters. Moreover, heavy rainfall and flooding were found to be the most common events preceding waterborne disease outbreaks associated with extreme weather conditions. This study aimed to examine the effect of rainfall on the quality of surface waters and to determine its suitability for primary contact recreation during wet weather conditions.
