The aim of this study is to assess the effectiveness and patient satisfaction of using the WatchPAT ONE, a disposable home sleep apnea test device, within a telemedicine-based management pathway.
Methods: All patients who used the telemedicine services for OSA diagnosis using the WatchPAT ONE were prospectively enrolled in the study.
Purpose: Patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) often experience poor sleep quality and excessive daytime sleepiness, which significantly affect their daily lives. Among the therapeutic options, Barbed Pharyngoplasty (BP) is widely used, showing an overall improvement in the primary efficacy parameters. However, the impact of this surgical intervention on sleep architecture remains unclear.

However, their involvement in hospitalization care while residing in and around the hospital is more prevalent in under-resourced settings. This article examined the challenges and multifaceted consequences of hospital-based informal caregiving in a Nigerian tertiary health facility.

Evidence from various countries highlight high levels of hesitancy among young people, necessitating targeted interventions. Engaging young adults as key stakeholders in shaping public health strategies is crucial, as their perspectives can enhance vaccine acceptance.

Oxford hip score (OHS) and Oxford shoulder scores (OSS) are validated joint-specific patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs). In this prospective multicentre study, 47 SCD patients with pre-existing diagnosis of AVN occurred at a median age of 35.

The high level of genetic and phenotypic heterogeneity has been linked to phenocopies and modifying genes, as well as unknown mechanisms that might be investigated in the future based on preclinical and translational considerations. MEN1, also known as Wermer's syndrome (OMIM *131100), is an autosomal dominant syndrome codifying for the most frequent MEN syndrome showing high penetrance due to mutations in the MEN1 gene; nevertheless, clinical manifestations vary among patients in terms of tumor localization, age of onset, and clinical aggressiveness/severity, even within the same families.

The intricate pathophysiology of OSA, variability in sites and patterns of UA collapse, and the interaction between anatomical and non-anatomical factors in individual patients may contribute to possible surgical failures. This clinical consensus statement aims to identify areas of agreement among a development group comprising international experts in OSA surgery, regarding the appropriate definition, predictive factors in patients, and management of surgical failure in OSA treatment.

This international treatment planning benchmark study investigates whether simultaneous integrated boost (SIB) and simultaneous integrated protection (SIP) concepts in PACA SBRT can lead to improved and harmonized plan quality.
Methods And Materials: A multiparametric specification of desired target doses (gross target volume [GTV], GTV, PTV, and PTV) with 2 prescription doses of GTV = 5 × 9.
Optimal nutrition during infancy is critical given its influence on lifelong health and wellbeing. Two novel methods of infant complementary feeding, commercial baby food pouch use and baby-led weaning (BLW), are becoming increasingly popular worldwide. Household food insecurity may influence complementary feeding practices adopted by families, but no studies have investigated the use of BLW and baby food pouches in families experiencing food insecurity.

However, it is crucial to identify the best candidate. This study aims to present the results of the modified Alianza technique in our clinic to show the differences in the impact of surgery on supine and non-supine apnea levels in moderate-severe OSA patients.

Snoring is a health concern linked to vascular disease and decreased quality of life for both snorers and their bed partners. Effective snoring treatment, which aims to reduce or eliminate the sound, is challenging and depends on factors like age, comorbidities, disease severity, and anatomical features.

Stroke is one of the most devastating complications for children with sickle cell disease (SCD). For effective prevention of stroke risk, annual transcranial Doppler (TCD) according to a defined protocol is recommended for patients aged 2-16 years, with red blood cell transfusion therapy for those at risk.

While extensive research has been conducted by UV-Vis spectroscopy, showcasing its utility in specific cases, there is still a paucity of studies based on NIR spectroscopy, which has the potential to overcome the limitations of the UV-Vis-based methods. To compensate for this disequilibrium, the present study aimed to evaluate the NIR applicability for estimating the age of forensic bloodstains and develop a performance comparison with UV-Vis spectroscopy methods.

This work aims to design, develop, and validate a new 3D surgical simulator to train ENT residents and specialists in performing BP.
Methods: The Barbed Pharyngoplasty Simulator (BPS) was designed using diagnostic images of the facial mass and testing different materials to replicate the mucosal and bony tissues.
Iron deficiency in infants can impact development, and there are concerns that the use of baby food pouches and baby-led weaning may impair iron status. First Foods New Zealand (FFNZ) was an observational study of 625 New Zealand infants aged 6.9 to 10.

Methods: Clinical studies utilizing PRP in OD caused by COVID-19, trauma, anesthetic exposure, viral infection, and chronic rhinosinusitis were included in a systematic review.
Results: Ten clinical studies were qualitatively analyzed.
Objectives: To investigate through an international survey the actual clinical application of drug-induced sleep endoscopy (DISE) in pediatric patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and to clarify the use, application, clinical indications, and protocol of pediatric DISE.
Methods: A specific survey about pediatric DISE was initially developed by five international otolaryngologists with expertise in pediatric sleep apnea and drug-induced sleep endoscopy and was later spread to experts in the field of sleep apnea, members of different OSA-related associations.
Results: A total of 101 participants who answered all the survey questions were considered in the study.
