Background And Objectives: Editors of scientific journals play a key role in the health-related research process. Our study aims to characterize the demographics, work habits, decision-making processes, and ethical challenges faced by editors of neurological journals and to evaluate associations between editor or journal characteristics and editorial decisions, as well as sources of conflict of interest.

Methods: Cross-sectional study involving editors from neurological journals that fell above the 50th percentile in the Scimago rankings.

Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) is a complex sensorimotor disorder, classified among the sleep-related movement disorders. Although sensory symptoms appear as key features of the disorder, they are still poorly characterized from a clinical perspective and conceptualized from a pathophysiological point of view. In this review, we aim to describe the clinical and functional substrates of RLS, focusing mainly on its sensory symptoms and on their neurophysiological and anatomical correlates.

Background And Aims: Recent years have witnessed the switch from considering essential tremor (ET) a monosymptomatic disorder to consider it as part of a spectrum, including other neurological signs, such as mild cognitive impairment and dementia, thus defining it as "ET plus." There are few data on cognitive impairment in ET patients. The aim of this review is to analyze the clinical characteristics of ET patients developing cognitive impairment, their neuropsychological profile, the underpinning mechanisms, and the possible biomarkers.

In March 2020, WHO declared Covid-19 outbreak pandemic. There has been increasing evidence that frail, old, multi-pathological patients are at greater risk of developing severe Covid-19 infection than younger, healthy ones. Covid-19's impact on Parkinson's Disease (PD) patients could be analysed through both the influence on PD patients' health and their risk of developing severe Covid-19, and the consequences of lockdown and restrictive measures on mental and cognitive health on both patients and caregivers.

A 38-year-old woman was referred to our hospital for rheumatologic manifestations (migrant arthritis and tenosynovitis), without psoriasis or family history of psoriasis, gastroenteric manifestations, or recent genitourinary infections. The instrumental and laboratory tests have suggested a diagnosis of undifferentiated seronegative HLA-B27-positive spondyloarthritis with predominantly peripheral involvement. The symptoms were very severe and resistant to anti-inflammatory drugs and steroids.

Purpose: The physiological changes during pregnancy can significantly alter antiepileptic drug (AED)'s absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination, thus influencing their plasma concentration. Considering that the risks of using old and new AEDs during pregnancy are still debated, our aim is to review the available evidence on this topic.

Methods: Narrative overview, synthesizing the findings of literature retrieved from searches of computerized databases.

Objective: A high number of antinuclear antibody specificities can be detected in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Some of them are related to a distinct clinical subset of disease, independently of their frequency. The aim of our study was to investigate, in a cohort of SLE patients, the prevalence and the clinical relevance of autoantibodies to cellular antigens less frequently found in SLE.

Objectives: We retrospectively compared disease activity, treatment, clinical and laboratory features, and rate of mortality of 535 SLE patients with adult and late disease onset.

Methods: patients were divided into two groups based on the onset of the disease before or after 50 years of age. Clinical data were collected from medical reports.

Antiphospholipid antibodies (aPL) represent a heterogeneous group of antibodies that recognize various antigenic targets including beta2 glycoprotein I (beta2GPI), prothrombin (PT), activated protein C, tissue plasminogen activator, plasmin and annexin A2. The most commonly used tests to detect aPL are: lupus anticoagulant (LAC), a functional coagulation assay, anticardiolipin antibody (aCL) and anti-beta2GPI antibody (anti-beta2GPI), which are enzyme-linked immunoassay (ELISA). Clinically aPL are associated with thrombosis and/or with pregnancy morbidity.
