Introduction: Telemedicine reduces greenhouse gas emissions (COeq); however, results of studies vary extremely in dependence of the setting. This is the first study to focus on effects of telemedicine on CO imprint of primary care.
Methods: We conducted a comprehensive retrospective study to analyze total COeq emissions of kilometers (km) saved by telemedical consultations.
Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UUTI) in women are frequent reasons for consultations in general practice. We evaluated the effectiveness and safety of telemedical management at a telemedicine centre in Switzerland. Management followed evidence-based protocols, including teleprescription of an antibiotic.
