The Roundabout Model was created to address the need for developing and retaining adjunct clinical faculty. Three interrelated evidence-based practices form the Roundabout Model: education, mentoring, and ongoing evaluation. Implementation of the model at one private not-for-profit school of nursing in the Midwest resulted in improved adjunct clinical faculty retention, from 50 percent to 100 percent, as well as improved student and clinical agency satisfaction.
