Introduction: Immersive simulation is used increasingly in medical education, and there is increasing awareness of the impact of simulation scenarios on emotional state and cognitive load and how these impact learning. 1 There is growing awareness of the requirement to equip veterinarians with skills for managing high-pressure environments and provide training on human factors.
Methods: Veterinary students participated in a high-fidelity immersive simulation of a road traffic collision involving multiple casualties.
Success in veterinary practice requires careful balancing of stakeholder needs. The aim of this study was to investigate the current expectations and needs of veterinary clients across a range of practice types. Interviews and focus groups were undertaken with veterinary clients to identify the capabilities of veterinarians that result in the best client experience, generating a 'Veterinary Capability Framework'.

Animals: 20 clinically normal dogs, 20 dogs with medical conditions, and 117 dogs undergoing surgery.
Procedure: First, a scaling model was applied to the CMPS descriptors to establish weights for each and create a continuous scale.
