Multimodality Multisystem Imaging of Pregnancy-Related Changes: Featuring Neurologic, Cardiothoracic, Breast, Gynecologic, and Musculoskeletal Issues.

Pregnancy and the puerperium are a time of significant physiologic change, and with an average of 4 million births in the United States yearly, radiologists encounter pregnancy-related imaging findings regularly. While many of these findings represent physiologic changes, a significant number represent pathology, making it paramount for radiologists to distinguish between the two. This case-based article reviews imaging findings within the nervous, cardiovascular, pulmonary, breast, gynecologic, musculoskeletal, digestive, hematologic, and integumentary systems throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period.

Advanced Imaging in Female Infertility.

This review highlights the role of imaging in the diagnosis and management of reproductive disorders. The additional information that imaging studies can contribute to reproductive medicine is emphasized, including the role of pelvic ultrasonography (US, including sonohysterography and contrast-enhanced hysterosalpingosonography), hysterosalpingography (HSG), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the female reproductive tract. In addition, the implications of congenital causes of infertility on the urinary tract in females are reviewed.

Design, Modeling and Synthesis of 1,2,3-Triazole-Linked Nucleoside-Amino Acid Conjugates as Potential Antibacterial Agents.

Copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloadditions (CuAAC or click chemistry) are convenient methods to easily couple various pharmacophores or bioactive molecules. A new series of 1,2,3-triazole-linked nucleoside-amino acid conjugates have been designed and synthesized in 57-76% yields using CuAAC. The azido group was introduced on the 5'-position of uridine or the acyclic analogue using the tosyl-azide exchange method and alkylated serine or proparylglycine was the alkyne.
