Biomolecular crystals can serve as materials for a plethora of applications including precise guest entrapment. However, as grown, biomolecular crystals are fragile in solutions other than their growth conditions. A single-blinded, two-arm, randomized, placebo-controlled pilot trial was implemented to evaluate the impact of a 12-week dietary intervention of rice bran + navy bean supplementation and PA education on metabolite profiles and the gut microbiome among individuals at high risk of CRC.
