Objective: Pierre Robin sequence (PRS) is a congenital malformation in which micrognathia causes retroposition of the tongue. This results in feeding and breathing difficulties that can lead to severe complications. If conservative treatment is not sufficient, a surgical procedure such as a tongue-lip adhesion can be performed.

This literature search evaluates if these recent advances have led to improved diagnosis, treatment and survival of patients with gall bladder carcinoma. The increase in the number of cholecystectomies being carried out has resulted in more carcinomas being discovered incidentally, and at an early and treatable stage.
