Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy in Breast Cancer Using Different Types of Tracers According to Molecular Subtypes and Breast Density-A Randomized Clinical Study.

Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) has become a method more and more frequently used in loco-regional breast cancer in the initial stages. Starting from the first report on the technical feasibility of the sentinel node method in breast cancer, published by Krag (1993) and Giuliano (1994), the method underwent numerous improvements and was also largely used worldwide. This article is a prospective study that took place at the "SJUPBT Surgery Clinic Timisoara" over a period of 1 year between July 2023 and July 2024, during which 137 underwent sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) based on the current guidelines.

Key findings indicate that Artificial Intelligence-driven predictive analytics can identify early signs of diabetic foot ulcers, enabling timely interventions.

A Comprehensive View on the Impact of Chlorogenic Acids on Colorectal Cancer.

Chlorogenic acids are plant secondary metabolites, chemically-polyphenols with similar biological activity, formed through the esterification of quinic acid and hydrocinnamic acid moieties. They are best known for their high concentration in coffee and other dietary sources and the antioxidant properties that they exhibit. Both chlorogenic acids and plant extracts containing significant amounts of the compounds show promising in vitro activity against colorectal cancer.

Sarcomatoid renal cell carcinoma with clear cells and eosinophilia: a case report and short review of the literature.

Sarcomatoid renal cell carcinoma (SRCC) is an aggressive form of de-differentiated renal cell carcinoma. We report a case of a 79-year-old male who presented himself to the Department of Emergency complaining of macroscopic hematuria for the last two days and a back pain located in the lumbar region persisting for around a month; there were no major changes in the initial laboratory tests. Abdominal ultrasonography identified a renal mass located in the lower pole of the left kidney.

Clinical manifestations and morphological changes in one case with post-stroke Klüver-Bucy syndrome.

We present the case of a 71-year-old right-handed male, admitted to the Department of Neurology, Emergency County Hospital of Arad, Romania, on November 2015, with a rare case of Klüver-Bucy syndrome (KBS), following an ischemic stroke of the right temporal lobe, which was previously diagnosed in December 2014 and was treated accordingly. At the moment of second hospital admission, the patient was found somnolent and confused at home, with traumatic signs of biting of the tongue and urine emission. A couple days after admission, our patient became alert and presented hypersexuality, hypermetamorphosis, increased oral tendency, behavior changes including apathy with loss of anger and fear, and a very increased appetite, transient visual agnosia and right-left disorientation.

Hemobilia by idiopathic aneurysm of cystic artery, fistulized in the biliary ways - clinical case.

Aneurysm of the cystic artery is not common, and it is a rare cause of hemobilia. Most of reported cases are pseudoaneurysms resulting from either an inflammatory process in the abdomen or abdominal trauma. We report a healthy individual who developed hemobilia associated with cystic artery aneurysm.

Synchronous gastric tumors, and, especially the presence of an adenocarcinoma and gastrointestinal stromal tumors, are less frequent. We present the case of a 75-year-old patient, with no gastrointestinal pathology in the medical history, who was admitted for marked asthenia, nausea, coffee grounds vomiting, inappetence, dizziness, weight loss and periodical epigastralgias. Normally present in the temporal region, the juxtaoral organ of Chievitz has considerable importance for both the surgeon and the pathologist. Although very rare, the nodular hyperplasia of the Chievitz's organ has been misinterpreted as invasive carcinoma. The pathological aspect mimics the mucoepidermoid carcinoma, squamous carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma with sebaceous differentiation or tumor of the skin appendages.
