Objectives: to evaluate whether the colposcopic lesion size , age, kind of surgery, the status of the surgical margins and the expression of the p16 and Ki-67 immunomarkers are risk factors for persistence or recurrence of the lesion.

Methods: a cross-sectional, observational, retrospective study of patients submitted to cold knife conization (CKC) or the loop electrosurgical excision procedure for cervical intraepithelial neoplasia 2 or 3. The colposcopic lesion size, age, surgical method, involvement of the surgical margins, and p16/Ki-67 immunomarker expression were analyzed in relation to lesion persistence and recurrence.

Objective: evaluate the gotten results of the accelerated protocol adapted to the clinic conditions in CLA post operatory patients.

Methods: 30 patients were selected and submitted to an isokynetic test at the pre operatory and 4 months post operatory.

Results: the isokinetics evaluations at the pre operatory presented: flexor peak torque 93% at 60 degrees /s and 97,3% at 180 degrees /s.

Objective: To quantify the percentage of immunostaining through the labeling index as well as the optical density of Ki-67 and CD34 in prostate adenocarcinoma and compare the results between markers.

Methods: Markers Ki-67 and CD34 were studied using immunohistochemistry in 34 cases of prostate adenocarcinoma from radical prostatectomies performed at the Hospital Regional do Gama in Brasilia, Brazil from 2000 through 2005. Those markers were quantified using the SAMBA 4000 software - Automated Scanning Microscopic Analysis System - and the IMMUNO software in the analysis of the variables labeling index and optical density.
