This study was performed to examine cangrelor use and transition to oral P2Y inhibitors in routine clinical practice. Methods and Results The CAMEO (Cangrelor in Acute Myocardial Infarction: Effectiveness and Outcomes) registry is a multicenter, retrospective observational study of platelet inhibition strategies for patients with myocardial infarction undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention.

This article is based on published safety and efficacy data on formoterol pressurized metered-dose inhalers (pMDIs) developed with the Modulite technology. This technology allows the development of ozone-friendly inhaled drugs that replace the same doses of chlorofluorocarbon (CFC)-formulated products and enables the attainment of new formulations with extra-fine particles and improved lung deposition. Clinical pharmacology, as well as clinical studies against comparators, have demonstrated that formoterol Modulite and the existing dry powder inhaler and CFC formoterol formulations have a similar pharmacokinetic profile, are clinically equivalent in bronchodilating effects and exhibit a similar potential for systemic side effects.

Background: The molecular identification and characterization of the adenosine triphosphate (ATP)-sensitive family of P2 receptors is comparatively new. There are two main subgroups, each with several subtypes and widespread tissue distribution, including the kidney. A unique member of the P2X subgroup of P2 receptors is the ATP-gated ion channel P2X(7), which on activation can cause cell blebbing, cytokine release, and cell death by necrosis or apoptosis.
