Combinations of linezolid (LZD) or trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole (SXT) plus rifampicin (RIF) are alternative oral treatments for staphylococcal prosthetic joint infections (PJIs) when fluoroquinolones are not possible to use, but there is limited evidence regarding their activity.
