Early aseptic loosening following primary total knee arthroplasty related to several factors might appear at the interface implant-cement or cement-bone. A standardized in vitro model might provide information on the relevance of single variable parameter of cementation including technique and cement respectively bone structure on fixation strength. Micromotion measurement using different directions of load should detect the primary stability of the interfaces.

Communications, navigation, and other related systems need to have a well-defined antenna radiation pattern. In onboard vessel systems, the radiation pattern can be much different than the one obtained for an isolated antenna (because of the vessel's structure and other nearby radiating systems interference). Finding out the onboard antenna's radiation pattern is a well-known problem for any shipbuilder/owner.

[Factors related to a suboptimal bowel preparation for colonoscopy].

Introduction: Colonoscopy is the standard method for the evaluation of the colon. A suitable intestinal cleaning is critical for the effectiveness and security of the procedure, but unfortunately there is a high proportion of suboptimal bowel preparation.

Objective: To identify factors related to suboptimal bowel preparation.

[Quality indicators for colonoscopy in the Peruvian Japanese Policlinic: linked factors].

Introduction: Colonoscopy is the gold standard for the diagnosis of diseases of the colon and rectum and the primary prevention test for colon cancer. The main indicators of quality in colonoscopy are the rate of complete colonoscopy and the rate of detected adenomas.

Objectives: We aimed to know the rates of cecal intubation and detection of adenomas and to identify factors related to these two quality indicators in colonoscopies performed in the Peruvian Japanese Policlinic during 2007.
