Background: Takotsubo syndrome (TTS) is often associated with symptoms of heart failure (HF) during the acute phase of the disease. 3-dimensional optical coherence tomography (OCT) may be used to assess the extent of angiographically silent underlying coronary artery disease (CAD). This study aims to use an artificial intelligence algorithm to analyze OCT findings and to determine whether the presence of pre-existing CAD predisposes TTS patients to present HF at admission.

Methods: Multicenter observational cohort study including 643 consecutive patients with prior MI and a first ICD implanted between 2005 and 2018 at three tertiary hospitals. All the patients included in the study had undergone a diagnostic coronary angiography before ICD implantation.

Objectives: To evaluate whether the revascularization of a coronary chronic total occlusion in an infarct-related artery (IRACTO) may be associated with lower recurrence of ventricular arrhythmias (VA) among patients with a secondary prevention implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD).
Background: IRACTO is increasingly recognized as an independent predictor of VA. It is unknown whether IRACTO revascularization can reduce the burden of VA.

Quantitative flow ratio (QFR) is a novel approach to evaluate the coronary stenosis significance on the basis of 3-dimensional quantitative coronary angiography (3D-QCA) and contrast flow by Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction frame count. This study aimed to evaluate and compare the QFR value in the left anterior descending artery (LAD) and the left circumflex artery (LCx) in patients with TTS.
