- Findings showed that while the rectal temperature of lambs remained stable, the respiratory rate increased with higher SBO levels, indicating a physiological response to heat.
- The results also demonstrated that increased SBO in the maternal diet led to better weight gain and feed efficiency in lambs without negatively affecting other vital serum metabolites or electrolyte levels, suggesting it could be a beneficial strategy in managing lamb growth during heat stress.
