Pemetrexed use may result in pseudocellulitis, which presents as poorly demarcated patches or plaques with erythema, edema, warmth, and tenderness. These lesions can present unilaterally or bilaterally on the lower extremities.

Bleaching efficacy of in-office bleaching with violet light using low-concentration hydrogen peroxide nanoparticulate photocatalyst gel: A randomized controlled trial.

Objective: This randomized controlled trial aimed to evaluate the bleaching efficacy and tooth sensitivity (TS) of participants submitted to different application protocols of in-office bleaching with violet light using 6 % hydrogen peroxide (HP) nanoparticulate photocatalyst gel.

Materials And Methods: Sixty-six participants were randomized and bleached using either a 6 % HP (Nano White, DMC), and/or violet light (Bright Max Whitening, MMOptics), according to the following protocols: 1) only violet light (VIOL); 2) only bleaching gel application (BG) and; 3) combined bleaching gel application + violet light (BG+VIOL). The bleaching efficacy was evaluated with the Vita Easyshade spectrophotometer, Vita Classical and Vita Bleachedguide scales.

Coral diseases contribute to the worldwide loss of coral reefs, with the Black Band Disease (BBD) being a prominent example. BBD is an infectious condition with lesions with a pigmented mat composed of cyanobacteria, sulphate-reducing, sulphide-oxidizing, and heterotrophic bacteria. We compared the heterotrophic bacterial communities of healthy and BBD-affected colonies of the Caribbean coral Orbicella faveolata using culture-dependent and -independent techniques.

In a single-blinded randomized crossover human experiment of 17 volunteers, we examined the effect of randomized 2-h controlled air pollution exposures on respiratory tissue epigenetic aging. Bronchial epithelial cell DNA methylation 24 h post-exposure was measured using the HumanMethylation450K BeadChip, and there was a minimum 2-week washout period between exposures.

Percutaneous liver procedures are frequently performed in patients with abnormal coagulation tests. Current guidelines suggest prophylactic transfusion is not mandatory in all patients with liver disease or cirrhosis, depending on the risk of bleeding. This study aims to describe the incidence and risk of major bleeding after percutaneous liver procedure in patients with and without cirrhosis.
