Sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) dapagliflozin and empagliflozin are indicated for heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) for cardiovascular death and heart failure hospitalization risk reduction. Due to the recent nature of these data, prescribing of SGLT2is may be suboptimal. This study sought to assess the prevalence of SGLT2i prescriptions at hospital discharge for HFrEF.
