Background: Our understanding of how nursing and midwifery students in Australia are prepared to support people in unintended pregnancy prevention and care is currently limited.
Objective: This study examined Australian nursing and midwifery students and recent graduates' perspectives on their preparation and confidence in providing unintended pregnancy prevention and care.
Methods: A descriptive, cross-sectional online survey of nursing and midwifery students and graduates was undertaken.

Truncated mucin-type O-glycans, such as Tn-associated antigens, are aberrantly expressed biomarkers of cancer, but remain challenging to target. Reactive antibodies to these antigens either lack high-affinity or are prone to antigen escape. Here, we have developed a robust chemoenzymatic strategy for the global labeling of Tn-associated antigens, i.

Inhaled pulmonary-selective vasodilators, such as inhaled epoprostenol (iEPO) and nitric oxide (iNO), are essential therapeutics for the prevention and medical management of postoperative RVF. However, there is limited evidence from clinical trials to guide agent selection despite the significant cost considerations of iNO therapy.

Network members are divided into core members, those strongly connected to the patient and other members; and peripheral members, those weakly connected to the patient and other members. We identify how many hemodialysis patients' network members offered to become kidney donors, whether these offers were from core or peripheral network members, and whose offers the patients accepted.

It combines the best attributes of both classical and modern click chemistries. DOC strategies center upon the chemical diversification of core "SuFExable" hubs-exemplified by 2-Substituted-Alkynyl-1-Sulfonyl Fluorides (SASFs)-enabling the modular assembly of compounds through multiple reaction pathways.

This study explored the degree of inclusion of sexual and reproductive health content in the foundational courses in NP preparation including advanced health assessment, advanced physiology and pathophysiology, and advanced pharmacology, known as the 3 Ps.
Method: Qualitative interviews were conducted with 30 NPs in their first 2 years of practice.
This article explores the experiences of the new NP's onboarding process based on data from two qualitative studies. Interviews with 27 new graduates were used to inform the design, implementation, and experience of an onboarding program in a small healthcare setting without robust internal resources or a human resource department.

Purpose: The study explores how nurse practitioners (NPs) perceived their preparation and competency in providing a range of sexual and reproductive health care in their first two years of community-based practice.
Methodological Orientation: Qualitative.
Sulfur(VI) fluoride exchange (SuFEx) click chemistry has offered a facile and reliable approach to produce polysulfates and polysulfonates. However, the current SuFEx polymerization methods lack precise control of target molecular weight and dispersity. Herein, we report the first chain-growth SuFEx polycondensation process by exploiting the unique reactivity and selectivity of S-F bonds under SuFEx catalysis.

Inhaled epoprostenol (iEPO) has been introduced worldwide as a cost-saving alternative to iNO without high-grade evidence for this indication.
Objective: To investigate whether the use of iEPO will lead to similar rates of severe/grade 3 primary graft dysfunction (PGD-3) after adult LT when compared with use of iNO.
Objectives: Hypothermia on intensive care unit (ICU) admission after cardiac surgery and cardiopulmonary bypass is common. It contributes to postoperative complications including shivering, coagulopathy, increased blood loss and transfusion requirements, morbid cardiac events, metabolic acidosis, increased wound infections, and prolonged hospital length of stay. The current standard of care for rewarming ICU patients is forced air warming blankets.

Sulfur fluoride exchange (SuFEx), a next generation of click chemistry, opens an avenue for drug discovery. We report here the discovery and structure-activity relationship studies of a series of arylfluorosulfates, synthesized via SuFEx, as antibacterial agents. Arylfluorosulfates 3, 81, and 101 showed potency to overcome multidrug resistance and were not susceptible to the generation of resistance.

To address this need, we present a system to enable rapid and efficacious splitting between two or more patients with varying lung compliances and tidal volume requirements. Reserved for dire situations, ventilator splitting is complex, and has been limited to patients with similar pulmonary compliances and tidal volume requirements.

Lack of automation and reliance on skilled medicinal chemists is cumbersome in both academic and industrial settings. Here, we demonstrate a high-throughput hit-to-lead process based on the biocompatible sulfur(VI) fluoride exchange (SuFEx) click chemistry.

Study Design: Program Directors from all identified primary care training programs ( = 51) were invited to participate in an online survey to assess the SRH didactic and clinical offerings based on competencies developed by the World Health Organization and adapted for the US across 15 domains and 15 related procedures.
Results: Twenty-two (43%) surveys were completed.

Background And Purpose: The past two decades brought changes in cervical cancer screening guidelines. Frequent modifications and earlier lack of agreement about recommendations created confusion. The purpose of this study was to explore to what extent advanced practice nurses (APNs) adopted cervical cancer screening guidelines.

Objective: To examine whether and to what extent pre-licensure nursing programs include sexual and reproductive health (SRH) content in their curricula.
Data Sources: Electronic databases, including CINAHL, MEDLINE, PubMed, Web of Science, Science Direct, Google Scholar, ProQuest, and CAB Direct were searched for relevant literature. We also reviewed the reference lists of all studies, nursing organization Web sites, and the personal files of the authors.
The concept of an annual gynecologic screening visit to identify disease at an early stage has long been an established component of women's health care. Women and their health care providers have historically accepted the schedule of an annual gynecologic examination with cervical cancer screening and a pelvic examination. Recently, researchers questioned the value of the annual breast and pelvic examinations in asymptomatic women and re-established the intervals for Pap test screening with the addition of human papillomavirus co-testing to establish cervical cancer risk.

This project aimed to identify core competencies to guide SRH training across the primary care professions.
Study Design: A six-member interprofessional expert working group drafted SRH competencies for primary care team members.
The SEARCH NH project (Student Experiences and Rotations in Community Health in New Hampshire) was a 3-year collaboration of the New Hampshire Area Health Education Center, four educational institutions, and four community health centers. The purpose was to introduce students in the health professions to interprofessional care in underserved areas. It was funded by the National Health Services Corps.

Objectives: To identify the essential competencies for prevention and care related to unintended pregnancy to develop program outcomes for nursing curricula.
Design: Modified Delphi study.
Setting: National.
Background: The use of ultrasound (US) guidance for radial artery cannulation has been shown to improve first attempt success rate, reduce time to successful cannulation, and reduce complications. We sought to determine whether properly trained respiratory therapists (RTs) could utilize US guidance for the placement of radial artery catheters. Primary outcome measurements were successful cannulation and first attempt success rate.
