Background: The aspartate aminotransferase-to-platelet ratio index (APRI) is an effective non-invasive marker for chronic liver dysfunction. Given that heat stroke patients often suffer from poor prognosis due to multi-organ involvement, with liver injury and coagulation dysfunction being of particular concern, this study aims to investigate whether APRI can comprehensively reflect liver injury and coagulation dysfunction in heat stroke patients and explore its relationship with 28-day mortality.
Methods: This retrospective study analysed electronic medical records from patients treated at 57 grade A tertiary hospitals in China from May 2005 to May 2024.

Background: To analyze intraorbital Hydroxyapatite(HA) implant exposure occurring beyond ten years of implantation and suggest potential contributing factors.
Design: A retrospective cohort study based in the Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital.

In this study, two chromogenic systems, horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-3,3'-diaminobenzidine (DAB) and HRP-3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB), were used to perform single-color and double-color immunohistochemical staining (sIHC and dIHC, respectively) on multiple antigens in four distinct tissue types. The chromogenic results of the HRP-TMB system exhibited a vibrant blue-green color, and the tissue localization and signal intensity were consistent with those of the HRP-DAB system. In addition, it demonstrated clear differentiation from the hematoxylin-stained nucleus, endogenous melanin, and brown chromogenic results of HRP-DAB.

By using microwave frequency- and time-domain measurements, we directly observe the strong confinement of electromagnetic energy at the mirror surface due to the extended time delay required for the valley index flipping. Moreover, we experimentally demonstrate that both the degree of energy localization and quality factors of the topology-controlled photonic cavities are determined by the valley-flipping time which is controlled by the topology of the mirror.
