NO-N transformation, the vital biological process, determines nitrogen removal and retention in aquatic environment. Suspended sediment (SPS) ubiquitous in freshwater ecosystems can accelerate the transitions from aerobic to anoxic states, inevitably impacting NO-N transformation. To elaborate on the microbial mechanism by which SPS content affected NO-N transformation, we explored nitrogen removal and retention, microbial communities, co-occurrence networks, and electron transfer behavior under different SPS content during the aerobic-anoxic transition.

With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic 4 years ago, viral sequencing continues to document numerous individual mutations in the viral spike protein across many variants. To determine the ability of vaccine-mediated humoral immunity to combat continued SARS-CoV-2 evolution, we construct a comprehensive panel of pseudoviruses harboring each individual mutation spanning 4 years of the pandemic to understand the fitness cost and resistance benefits of each. While hydrogel-based flexible sensors find extensive applications in fields such as medicine and robotics, their performance can be hindered by the rapid evaporation of water, leading to diminished sensitivity and mechanical durability. The stability of the suspension is a key challenge for the application and promotion of electromagnetic suspension technology, especially when it operates in conjunction with a flexible structure, which significantly increases the system's complexity. This paper abstracts the characteristics of the coupling conditions between an electromagnetic suspension system and a flexible structure and designs and constructs an experimental apparatus that includes an electromagnet and a simulated flexible structure with adjustable stiffness and inertia. Based on the Lyapunov method, the central manifold theorem, and the Poincaré method, the stability of the electromagnetic suspension system and the conditions for Hopf bifurcations are derived.
