The differential diagnosis of a cerebral dissecting aneurysm (DA) and a hemorrhagic saccular aneurysm (SA) often depends on the intraoperative findings; thus, improved non-invasive imaging diagnosis before surgery is essential to distinguish between these two aneurysms, in order to provide the correct formulation of surgical procedure. We aimed to build a radiomic model based on high-resolution vessel wall magnetic resonance imaging (VW-MRI) and a machine-learning algorithm. In total, 851 radiomic features from 146 cases were analyzed retrospectively, and the ElasticNet algorithm was used to establish the radiomic model in a training set of 77 cases.

A versatile hydrophilic and antifouling coating was designed and prepared based on catechol-modified four-arm polyethylene glycol. The dopamine (DA) molecules were grafted onto the end of the four-arm polyethylene glycol carboxyl (4A-PEG-COOH) through the amidation reaction, which was proven by H NMR and FTIR analysis, assisting the strong adhesion of PEG on the surface of various types of materials, including metallic, inorganic, and polymeric materials. The reduction of the water contact angle and the bacteria-repellent and protein-repellent effects indicated that the coating had good hydrophilicity and antifouling performance.

This study aimed to compare the performance of radiomics and deep learning in predicting EGFR mutation status in patients with lung cancer based on PET/CT images, and tried to explore a model with excellent prediction performance to accurately predict EGFR mutation status in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). PET/CT images of 194 NSCLC patients from Xijing Hospital were collected and divided into a training set and a validation set according to the ratio of 7:3. Statistics were made on patients' clinical characteristics, and a large number of features were extracted based on their PET/CT images (4306 radiomics features and 2048 deep learning features per person) with the pyradiomics toolkit and 3D convolutional neural network.
