Introduction: The aim of this study is to examine the effect of education given to eighth-grade adolescents in a primary school with health belief model (HBM)-based creative drama techniques on health locus of control (HLC) and smoking perception.
Method: This randomized controlled study was conducted between January and December 2019 in two primary schools in the Erzurum city center, Türkiye. The study included 80 eighth-grade students, who were randomly assigned to either the experimental group (n = 40) or the control group (n = 40) The experimental group received six sessions of creative drama training based on the HBM.
During embryogenesis in (zebrafish), the earliest morphological patterning events are dependent on the precise temporal translation and/or localization of specific maternal mRNAs/proteins. Dorsoventral patterning in particular requires the translocation of maternal factors that are present in the Balbiani Body from the vegetal region of the unfertilized egg to the future dorsal side of the embryo (Fuentes ., 2020), leading to the localized activation of the β-catenin pathway in the cells in that region.

Various studies have demonstrated the efficacy of emerging ML techniques in analysing surgical data, particularly recordings of procedures, for digitising clinical and non-clinical functions like preoperative planning, context-aware decision-making, and operating skill assessment. However, this field is still in its infancy and lacks representative, well-annotated datasets for training robust models in intermediate ML tasks.

Increasing evidence has revealed novel functions of hypoxia in intercellular communication. The hypoxia induced tumor derived exosomes (hiTDExs) released in high quantities by tumor cells under hypoxia are packed with unique cargoes that are essential for cancer cells' interactions within their microenvironment.

While most European hazelnut cultivars are highly susceptible to the pathogen, which remains confined to North America, EFB resistant and tolerant genotypes occur in the gene pool at low frequency. At Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, USA, 5,226 trees were grown from open pollinated seeds collected from Russia, Crimea, Poland, Turkey, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Italy, and the Republic of Georgia between 2002 to 2010.

Vaccination against major BRD-related pathogens is routinely performed for disease prevention; however, uniform reporting of health and performance outcomes is infrequent. Our objective was to evaluate the effect of commercially available BRD-pathogen vaccination on titer response with respect to health or performance in beef and dairy cattle.

In this study, we show that in insulin secreting mouse β-cell lines, gain of function mutations in Kir6.1 result in a significant connexin36 (Cx36) overexpression, which form gap junctional connections and mediate electrical coupling between β-cells within pancreatic islets.

Due to difficulties in detecting peri-implantitis in its early phases, implant failures are constantly on the rise.

One of the most effective means of controlling BRD is through metaphylaxis, which involves administering antimicrobials to all animals at high risk of developing BRD. However, increasing prevalence of multidrug resistant (MDR) may reduce efficacy of metaphylaxis due to decreased susceptibility to drugs used for metaphylaxis.

Animals: 100 Holstein and Holstein-cross bull calves with bovine respiratory disease.
Methods: Calves > 30 days old with naturally occurring bovine respiratory disease were sampled sequentially by nasal swab, nasopharyngeal swab, transtracheal wash, and then bronchoalveolar lavage.
Background: Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is characterized by enhanced angiogenesis resulting in poor prognosis despite improvements in diagnostic/therapeutic techniques. Here, we aimed at investigating potential roles of miR-1825 enclosed in OSCC-derived exosomes on angiogenesis under hypoxic conditions.
Methods: Effects of miR-1825 mimic/inhibitor as well as hypoxia-induced tumor derived exosomes on human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) were evaluated using cell viability, migration/invasion, tube formation, and spheroid-based 3D angiogenesis assays.

Background: Fatalism is an important parameter that affects individuals' understanding of health. In addition, stress and economic status, such as fatalism, are important factors that affect an individual's understanding of health. In this context, there may be an important link between stress, economic situation and fatalism.

Six randomly selected calves were vaccinated twice preweaning (T1 and T3) with a modified live vaccine for respiratory pathogens and 6 randomly selected calves were left unvaccinated. Whole blood samples were taken at first vaccination (T1), seven days later (T2), at revaccination and castration (T3), and at weaning (T4), and utilized for RNA isolation and sequencing.

One standard method for antemortem pathogen identification in cattle with BRD is deep-guarded nasopharyngeal swabbing, which is challenging, costly, and waste generating. The objective was to compare the ability to recover Mannheimia haemolytica and compare microbial community structure using 29.

This study investigated fluoroquinolone and macrolide resistance genes among ESBL-producing isolated from dairy calves. Fresh fecal samples from 147 dairy calves across three age groups were enriched to select for ESBL-producing Plasmid-mediated fluoroquinolone (), macrolide ((A)), and beta-lactam ( groups 1 and 9) resistance genes were identified by PCR and gel electrophoresis in ESBL-producing .

Bovine respiratory disease (BRD), as one of the most common and costly diseases in the beef cattle industry, has significant adverse impacts on global food security and the economic stability of the industry. The bovine respiratory microbiome is strongly associated with health and disease and may provide insights for alternative therapy when treating BRD. The niche-specific microbiome communities that colonize the inter-surface of the upper and the lower respiratory tract consist of a dynamic and complex ecological system.

In this study, we aimed at investigating the possible involvement of vitamin D deficiency (VDD) and high cholesterol (HC) together in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) through modulating glycolysis.
Subjects And Methods: We compared total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides, LDH, and vitamin D levels of OSCC patients and control individuals.
Commercially available bovine-specific assays are limited in number, and multiplex assays for this species are rare. Our objective was to develop a multiplex assay for the bovine inflammatory cytokines IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α using the Meso Scale Discovery U-PLEX platform. "Do-It-Yourself" ELISA kits that contained polyclonal antibodies, both unlabeled and biotinylated, and the specific recombinant bovine cytokine standard, were purchased for each of these three cytokines.
