Biostimulants are organic compounds which can influence the biochemical activity of the whole plant. Lately, great attention has been focused on the possibility of using these stimulants in the viticulture sector. Due to this, the aim of this work was to investigate the foliar application of a biostimulant made by Fabaceae tissue, rich in amino acids and peptides along with the high presence of natural triacontanol (CHO) (>6 mg kg), previously reported in many crops as chemicals able to stimulate different yield components, the technological composition of musts still having an effect on some of the microbial population of different fruits/crops.

Objective: For the first time, we administered reversing prism exposure to treat optic ataxia in a single patient with Balint-Holmes Syndrome (BHS), who also underwent specific trainings for simultanagnosia and ocular apraxia.

Method And Results: By an introduction and withdrawal experimental design, we observed that the active treatment periods improved patient's visuospatial defects and functional autonomy.

Conclusions: We thus provided a proof of principle supporting the use of reversing prism exposure in optic ataxia within an integrated and personalized rehabilitative approach for BHS.

One thousand eighty-five children with atopic dermatitis were enrolled in a multicenter study to evaluate the efficacy of 4 weeks of oral sodium cromoglycate or 4 weeks of a restricted diet. One thousand-eleven children (93%) concluded the study. At the end of the trial there was a significant improvement in skin lesions in the two groups: 61% of the patients in the sodium cromoglycate group and 69% in the restricted diet showed a significant improvement in atopic dermatitis.

Two homogeneous groups of 8 patients suffering from bronchial asthma or chronic obstructive bronchial pneumonia were treated with slow release theophylline anhydride or bamiphylline respectively, both products being given orally twice a day. The results showed that both drugs possess a powerful bronchodilatory action and therefore have a beneficial effect on subjective symptoms. Statistical analysis confirmed the absence of any significant difference between the two xanthine derivatives, both of which were well-tolerated though bamiphylline offered a slight advantage in this respect.

The spread of cytostatics has made the search for safe drugs for the prevention and treatment of induced vomiting important. In the present study, the protective (prophylactic and therapeutic) effect of Alizapride has been examined. Ten oncological patients of average age 60 were treated with a total of 30 cycles according to the commonest protocols of drugs with varying emetic potential (from bland bleomycin type to high cisplatin type).

Therapy of vasculitis syndromes varies considerably according to different forms and gravity. Mild cases often heal spontaneously. In other cases, when the causal factors are known, the removal of the offending antigen or the treatment of an underlying primary disease are sufficient to obtain remission.

Giant cell arteritis are characterized by histologic disruption features of the lamina elastica of large arteries with mononuclear cells and giant cells infiltration. Systemic giant cell arteritis, temporal arteritis and Takayasu's arteritis are included in this group. Takayasu's arteritis predominantly affects the teenage girl and involves the aorta and its mayor branches.

The cardiotoxicity of cytostatic drugs reported in the literature is marked for some (adriamycin), rather rare for others. Cases of angina, infarction, and atrial arrhythmia have been reported during treatment with cisplatin. The case is reported of a 65-year-old patient with no risk factors for cardiovascular disease who had two attacks of high-frequency atrial arrhythmia during combined treatment with cisplatin and etoposide.

High Hb level transfusion scheme for treatment of thalassemia mayor has improved life prognosis but has increased also the incidence of Diabetes Mellitus. 10 patients with thalassemia major have been followed with OGTT for a period 4 years long (1979-1982). In 1979 we changed from low to high level transfusion regimen, and we began to use the pump for slow subcutaneous administration of desferrioxamine to treat iron overload.

Serum gastrin before and after a low-lipid glycoprotein meal was studied in patients with viral cirrhosis (without associated alcoholism) and controls. Cirrhotics are at high risk of peptic ulceration and most authors have attributed this to their gastrin levels which in many studies are higher in cirrhotics than controls. Since such studies involved patients with cirrhosis from a variety of causes, mostly alcohol (which in itself causes a rise in gastrin levels and an increased risk of peptic ulceration), we believed it necessary to evaluate gastrin levels before and after stimulation in patients with non-alcoholic cirrhosis, i.
