Background: In graph theory, M polynomials like the matching polynomial are very crucial in examining the matching structures within graphs, while NM polynomials extends this to analyze non-matching edges. These polynomials are important in many fields, including chemistry and network architecture. They support the derivation of topological indices for protein structure analysis, network communication optimization, and drug design in QSAR/QSPR investigations.

Novel Decision Modeling for Manufacturing Sustainability under Single-Valued Neutrosophic Hesitant Fuzzy Rough Aggregation Information.

We developed a multicriteria decision-making method based on the list of novel single-valued neutrosophic hesitant fuzzy rough (SV-NHFR) weighted averaging and geometric aggregation operators to address the uncertainty and achieve the sustainability of the manufacturing business. In addition, a case study on choosing the optimum elements for a sustainable manufacturing sector was carried out. The proposed decision support method is then compared to other relevant methodologies, and a validity test is performed to show the reliability and validity of the new methodology.

ISOLATION OF STREPTOCOCCI FROM A FATAL CASE OF MYOCARDITIS IN A CAPTIVE BROWN BEAR (URSUS ARCTOS).

A 10-yr-old, male brown bear ( Ursus arctos ) from Bursa Zoo in Turkey died without any apparent signs. Severe purulent pericarditis and myocarditis with mild ascites, lung edema, and moderate liver congestion were observed during necropsy. Microscopically, there were severe neutrophilic infiltrations in the myocardium and thoracic lymph nodes.

The effects of Tarantula cubensis venom on open wound healing in rats.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical and histopathological effects of two different dosages of alcohol extract of Tarantula cubensis (Theranekron) on open wounds.

Method: A total of 24 Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into Tarantula cubensis extract (TCE1, n=8) 1/10 diluted, TCE (TCE2, n=8), and (3) vehicle-control (0.2 ml of 96 % ethanol, n=8) groups.

Investigation of serum amino acid and serum amyloid A concentrations in chickens with amyloid arthropathy.

Background: Increased proteolytic cleavage of serum amyloid A (SAA) may potentially contribute to the development of AA amyloid deposition.

Objective: To study the possible relationship between amyloid artropathy and expression of SAA and some serum amino acids.

Animals And Methods: Values of 15 serum amino acids and SAA were investigated in chickens with experimentally induced amyloid arthropathy.

Long term dietary restriction ameliorates swimming exercise-induced oxidative stress in brain and lung of middle-aged rat.

Exhaustive exercise may generate oxidative stress in brain and reported findings are conflicting. Long term dietary restriction (DR) may be useful in the inhibiting of free oxygen radicals generated during exhaustive exercise in the brain of rat. Hence, in this study we evaluated beneficial effects of long term DR on the oxidative stress and antioxidant enzyme systems in brain cortex and lung in rats after different intensities of swimming exercise.

Tubulopapillary mammary carcinoma in a brown bear (Ursus arctos).

A 28-yr-old, nulliparous female brown bear (Ursus arctos) at the Karacabey Ovakurusu Bear Sanctuary presented with an enlargement of the mammary gland. Three other nodules were also noted in the proximity of the mammary gland and over the vulva. Clinical, hematologic, ultrasonographic, and radiologic examinations were performed; the enlarged mammary gland was removed and the other masses were also excised.

The effects of topical tripeptide copper complex and helium-neon laser on wound healing in rabbits.

The aim of this study was to compare the clinical and histopathological effects of tripeptide copper complex (TCC) and two different doses of laser application (helium-neon laser, 1 and 3 J cm(-2)) on wound healing with untreated control wounds. Experimental wounds were created on a total of 24 New Zealand white rabbits and topical TCC or laser was applied for 28 days. The wounds were observed daily, and planimetry was performed on days 7, 14, 21 and 28 to measure the unhealed wound area and percentage of total wound healing.

Valvular cardiac myxoma in a dog.

Primary and secondary cardiac tumours are extremely rare in humans and domestic animals. This case describes the gross, light microscopical and immunohistochemical examination of a cardiac myxoma arising from the tricuspid valve in a 13-year-old female terrier dog. Clinically, long-term respiratory distress, progressive ascites, fatigue and exercise intolerance were observed in the animal.

The effect of centrally administered erythropoietin on cardiovascular and respiratory system of anaesthetized rats.

Erythropoietin (EPO) is a hematopoietic factor, which is produced primarily by the adult kidney in response to tissue hypoxia. There is strong evidence that EPO may also be synthesized in the brain and act as a neuroprotector or neuromodulator in the central nervous system. The present study investigated the effect of centrally administered EPO on cardiovascular and respiratory parameters in anaesthetized rats.

Isolation of Salmonella Enteritidis phage type 21b from a Eurasian eagle-owl (Bubo bubo).

A case of fatal salmonellosis in a Eurasian eagle-owl (Bubo bubo) from Bursa Province (northwestern Turkey) is described. The organs of the bird were examined histopathologically and microbiologically. Macroscopic and microscopic findings were consistent with a Salmonella infection.

Evaluation of the effects of topical tripeptide-copper complex and zinc oxide on open-wound healing in rabbits.

In this study the clinical and histopathological effects of topically applied tripeptide-copper complex (TCC) and zinc oxide on open-wound healing in rabbits was evaluated. Eighteen New Zealand rabbits were divided into three groups: TCC, zinc oxide and no treatment. One full thickness wound was created on each side of the dorsal midline in each rabbit.

The effects of a low dose of cabergoline on induction of estrus and pregnancy rates in anestrous bitches.

This is the first report of successful induction of normal estrus and ovulation in breeder bitches with as a low dose as 0.6 microg/kg/day of cabergoline formulation marketed for use in women. Sixty-one pure breed bitches from various breeds were used in the study at their already determined periods of anestrus.

Steroid receptor expression and HER-2/neu (c-erbB-2) oncoprotein in the uterus of cats with cystic endometrial hyperplasia-pyometra complex.

The presence of oestrogen-alpha receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR), and HER-2/neu (c-erbB-2) oncoprotein in the uterine walls of 10 healthy cats and 20 subjects with cystic endometrial hyperplasia-pyometra (CEH-P) were evaluated. Lesions were graded according to the severity of cystic dilation, hyperplasia and inflammation, and were classified as normal, mild uterine hyperplasia and severe uterine hyperplasia. The ER, PR and c-erbB-2 expression in the endometrium, glandular epithelium, stromal fibroblasts and myometrial smooth muscle cells was quantified by immunohistochemistry.

Protective effects of long term dietary restriction on swimming exercise-induced oxidative stress in the liver, heart and kidney of rat.

In this study, we evaluated the hypothesis that long term dietary restriction would have beneficial effects on the oxidative stress and antioxidant enzyme systems in liver, heart and kidney in adult male rats undergoing different intensities of swimming exercise. Sixty male, Sprague-Dawley rats were assigned as either dietary restricted on every other week day (DR) or fed ad libitum (AL) groups, and each group was further subdivided into sedentary, endurance swimming exercise training (submaximal exercise) and exhaustive swimming exercise (maximal exercise) groups. Animals in the submaximal exercise group swam 5 days/week for 8 weeks, while maximal exercise was performed as an acute bout of exercise.

A Clinico-pathological study on the effect of vincristine on transmissible venereal tumour in dogs.

Transmissible venereal tumour (TVT) is a coitally transmitted neoplasm of dogs and is common among sexually active dogs, where sexual behaviour is not under control. Several treatment options are available for the treatment of the tumour, with chemotherapy being the most commonly employed. In this study, we investigated the clinical and cytological changes after weekly vincristine sulphate administration in 38 cases of naturally occurring TVT.

Clinico-pathological aspects of canine cutaneous and mucocutaneous plasmacytomas.

In this study the clinico-pathological aspects of cutaneous and mucocutaneous plasmacytomas were investigated in 63 dogs (one dog with two tumours). The tumours were most commonly observed in the skin of the trunk and legs. Yorkshire Terrier (n = 8) was the most commonly affected breed and males were affected more commonly than females (36 versus 23, respectively).

Canine balloon and signet-ring cell melanomas: a histological and immunohistochemical characterization.

Seven tumours that were composed of balloon (n=4) or signet-ring (n=3) cells were investigated for a putative melanocytic origin. The tumours were located in the skin or the mouth cavity. In one case a sample from inguinal lymph node metastasis was available.

Tyrosinase gene expression in clear cell sarcoma indicates a melanocytic origin: insight from the first reported canine case.

The aim of this study was to characterize a metastasizing soft tissue tumor in a dog, which clinically, grossly and histologically showed a close resemblance to human clear cell sarcoma, a soft tissue variant of malignant melanoma. Ultrastructurally, melanosomes were found, indicating a melanocytic origin of the tumor. Using reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction, expression of the gene encoding tyrosinase was determined in tumor cells.
