Introduction: Fanconi anemia (FA) is a heterogeneous genetic disorder that is characterized by progressive bone marrow failure, congenital malformations, predisposition to malignancy, and short stature. The gene was recently associated with FA complementation group W, and only 1 patient is reported in the literature so far.

The real-time unknown parameter estimation and adaptive tracking control problems are investigated in this paper for a six degrees of freedom (6-DOF) of under-actuated quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). A virtual proportional derivative (PD) controller is designed to maintain the translational dynamics. Background: Heterozygous intragenic mutations of the hepatocyte nuclear factor 1 homeobox b gene (HNF1B) located on chromosome 17 and microdeletion of 17q12 region (17q12MD) leads to the complete loss of this gene, which causes renal cystic disease, diabetes mellitus (MODY5), hypomagnesemia, hyperuricemia, liver enzyme abnormalities, genital tract abnormalities and exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. In addition, patients with 17q12MD also have facial dysmorphism, neuro-developmental and neuropsychiatric disorders.

There is an increasing need for smart materials capable of removing multivalent ions from aqueous streams without the inconvenience of brine regeneration as in ion-exchange processes. Herein, we present a thermoresponsive micellar system consisting of polystyrene-poly(methoxy diethyleneglycol acrylate) block copolymer surfactants modified with carboxylic acid end groups (PS-PMDEGA-COOH) that can be used to switch between the adsorption and desorption of divalent calcium(II) cations by a mild temperature trigger, thus providing a new type of thermoregenerable ion-adsorbing materials. The switch of calcium(II)-binding capacity is demonstrated to result from a shift in the pKa value of the carboxylic acid groups by the collapse and redissolution of the PMDEGA block and the associated change in local polarity.
