Methods: Twenty-six adult patients scheduled for cardiac surgery with sternotomy aged between 18 and 84 olds were included in this prospective, monocentric, open, single-group trial. First Search for Dark-Trident Processes Using the MicroBooNE Detector.

We present a first search for dark-trident scattering in a neutrino beam using a dataset corresponding to 7.2×10^{20} protons on target taken with the MicroBooNE detector at Fermilab. Proton interactions in the neutrino target at the main injector produce π^{0} and η mesons, which could decay into dark-matter (DM) particles mediated via a dark photon A^{'}.

Conformity to masculinity ideology predicts men's meat consumption and willingness to reduce their meat intake, but it is unknown which specific masculine norms account for these relationships. This study investigated which traditional and non-traditional masculine norms predict meat consumption, red and processed meat consumption, and willingness to reduce meat consumption in 557 Australian and English males. Men who support the use of physical violence and place high importance on sex ate more meat.

First Measurement of η Meson Production in Neutrino Interactions on Argon with MicroBooNE.

We present a measurement of η production from neutrino interactions on argon with the MicroBooNE detector. The modeling of resonant neutrino interactions on argon is a critical aspect of the neutrino oscillation physics program being carried out by the DUNE and Short Baseline Neutrino programs. η production in neutrino interactions provides a powerful new probe of resonant interactions, complementary to pion channels, and is particularly suited to the study of higher-order resonances beyond the Δ(1232).

Supporting autistic communities through parent-led and child/young person-led digital social story interventions: an exploratory study.

Introduction: Social Stories (SS) is a socially-valid intervention for autistic children and young people (CYP) which is used widely by professionals and parents. Research suggests that whilst parents are in an ideal position to deliver interventions for their autistic CYP, a lack of procedural integrity can result in a great deal of variability in parent-mediated intervention outcomes.

Methods: This exploratory study investigated the extent to which SS can be effectively developed and delivered, through digital mediation, by parents with little to no researcher input ( = 17, sample 1) and the factors that impact effectiveness.

Topographic Complexity Is a Principal Driver of Plant Endemism in Mediterranean Islands.

The frequency of endemism in the flora of Mediterranean Islands does not follow a straightforward species-area relationship, and the determinants of endemism are several and complex. The aim of this study was to estimate the explanatory power of a small number of variables on the species richness of vascular plants on selected Mediterranean islands and archipelagos, and on the proportion of narrow endemism in each. We used a novel approach whereby the topographic complexity and isolation of an island were estimated through more detailed methods than those utilised previously.

Search for Heavy Neutral Leptons in Electron-Positron and Neutral-Pion Final States with the MicroBooNE Detector.

We present the first search for heavy neutral leptons (HNLs) decaying into νe^{+}e^{-} or νπ^{0} final states in a liquid-argon time projection chamber using data collected with the MicroBooNE detector. The data were recorded synchronously with the NuMI neutrino beam from Fermilab's main injector corresponding to a total exposure of 7.01×10^{20} protons on target.

Background: Several generic formulations of rivaroxaban were recently marketed to be used interchangeably with their branded equivalent. However, there have been no previously published studies that directly compared the in vitro anticoagulant effect of branded vs. generic rivaroxaban.

Effective digital support for autism: digital social stories.

Social Stories™ is one of the most popular interventions for autistic children and has been researched extensively. However, effectiveness data has been gathered mainly through single-participant designs which generate outcomes which can lack generalizability and social validity. Stories Online For Autism (SOFA) is a digital application which supports the development and delivery of Social Stories in a real-world setting and has the potential to contribute toward furthering (1) Social Stories research and (2) research on digital applications for autism by gathering large data sets from multiple participants.

The impact of COVID-19 on nursing students' lives and online learning: A cross-sectional survey.

Aims: To explore the impact of COVID-19 on students' lives and their online learning experience.

Design: A cross-sectional survey design was used in this study.

Methods: A total of 44 nursing students who were enrolled in an undergraduate programme at a Canadian University participated in the study.

First Double-Differential Measurement of Kinematic Imbalance in Neutrino Interactions with the MicroBooNE Detector.

We report the first measurement of flux-integrated double-differential quasielasticlike neutrino-argon cross sections, which have been made using the Booster Neutrino Beam and the MicroBooNE detector at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. The data are presented as a function of kinematic imbalance variables which are sensitive to nuclear ground-state distributions and hadronic reinteraction processes. We find that the measured cross sections in different phase-space regions are sensitive to different nuclear effects.

Word usage as measured by parental checklists and language samples: trends, comparisons, and implications.

Background: Although parental checklists are well-known for their potential in indexing young children's lexicon size, they can also be used to track children's acquisition of individual words. Word-level data can be used to identify the checklist words most and least commonly employed across groups of children. Like parent-completed vocabulary checklists, samples of spontaneous language use collected from multiple children can also generate measures of word commonality, concerned with the numbers of children producing individual words.

Effects of core strengthening on balance in patients with hip osteoarthritis: a randomised controlled trial.

Osteoarthritis is a condition commonly present in the elderly, with many having altered balance, aggravated with weak lower limb and core musculature predisposing them to falls. Despite the knowledge about the link between balance and core stability, studies investigating the importance of core stability exercise and their impact on balance are limited. Therefore, the authors aimed to explore whether core strengthening exercises in combination with hip exercises, when compared to a hip exercise programme and a control group, led to better improvements in balance in patients with hip osteoarthritis.

Workers' individual and dyadic coping with the COVID-19 health emergency: A cross cultural study.

The aim of this study was to examine workers' psychological distress during the COVID-19 pandemic as a function of their individual coping, dyadic coping, and work-family conflict. We also tested the moderating role of gender and culture in these associations. To achieve this aim, we run HLM analyses on data from 1521 workers cohabiting with a partner, coming from six countries (Italy, Spain, Malta, Cyprus, Greece, and Russia) characterized by various degrees of country-level individualism/collectivism.

A Retrospective Longitudinal Analysis of Mental Health Admissions: Measuring the Fallout of the Pandemic.

Background: In this research article, we review the infrequently considered long-term impact of the pandemic on inpatient mental health, by reviewing the clinical parameters of all psychiatric admissions to Mount Carmel Hospital, our region's main psychiatric healthcare facility, from 2019-2021.

Methods: 4292 patients were admitted during the research period of this retrospective longitudinal analysis. Taking 2019 as the pre-COVID reference year, we compared mean monthly admissions from 2020 and 2021, looking at patient demographics, status under the Mental Health Act, diagnosis, and self-injurious behaviour.

First Constraints on Light Sterile Neutrino Oscillations from Combined Appearance and Disappearance Searches with the MicroBooNE Detector.

We present a search for eV-scale sterile neutrino oscillations in the MicroBooNE liquid argon detector, simultaneously considering all possible appearance and disappearance effects within the 3+1 active-to-sterile neutrino oscillation framework. We analyze the neutrino candidate events for the recent measurements of charged-current ν_{e} and ν_{μ} interactions in the MicroBooNE detector, using data corresponding to an exposure of 6.37×10^{20} protons on target from the Fermilab booster neutrino beam.
