- This study looks at patients with early-stage ovarian cancer and whether they need to have a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) or if they can keep it to have children later.
- Out of 85 patients studied, only 6 had cancer that affected the uterus (which is about 7%), and there weren't many differences between those patients and those who didn't.
- The research suggests that because there are very few patients involved, it's hard to make strong conclusions, but it might be possible to consider keeping the uterus for some patients during surgery.
