In this report, we present a 57-year-old man with chronic bilateral lower extremity wounds from nonuremic calciphylaxis, which were successfully reconstructed using a piscine-derived acellular dermal matrix. The acellular dermal matrix incorporated quickly, providing a wound bed that was amenable to skin grafting. We demonstrate that this is an effective off-the-shelf solution for these chronic wounds, resulting in pain reduction and complete closure of the wounds, allowing the patient to return to his previous baseline activities, and improving his quality of life.

The purpose of this study was to determine (1) whether delayed repair of only scapholunate ligament is an option without other reconstruction procedures and (2) whether functional outcomes are possible despite radiographic presence of arthritis. This study included patients who had complete ligament tear at exploration and underwent only scapholunate ligament repair without capsulodesis or tenodesis.

Fourteen cases have been documented in the literature related to the difficulty in identifying this bacterium in the laboratory. We present a patient case demonstrating a prolonged treatment course, which is often seen as the result of misdiagnosis, and subsequent nonhealing wound requiring multiple surgeries and eventual wide excision with staged graft coverage.

Fractures of the orbital wall secondary to nose blowing have not been previously described in the pediatric population. The patient reported a history of chronic forceful nose blowing, followed by periorbital swelling after an episode of vigorous nose blowing.

Background: Prompt physical and occupational therapy is crucial in managing nonsurgical candidates with obstetrical brachial plexus injuries (OBPI). The objective of our study was to identify newborns suffering from nonoperative OBPI in need of a "fast-track" evaluation by a multidisciplinary team.
Methods: This is a retrospective review of patients with OBPI from June 1995 to June 2015.
OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to compare shoulder abduction and external rotation (ER) after single-nerve repair of the upper trunk alone versus dual-nerve repair of both the upper trunk and the suprascapular nerve. METHODS A retrospective chart review of a single surgeon's experience repairing obstetrical brachial plexus injuries between June 1995 and June 2015 was performed. Eight patients underwent repair of the upper trunk alone, and 10 patients underwent repair of the upper trunk and the suprascapular nerve.
