The Carney enterocystoplasty is a technique for constructing a functional, continent bladder in male patients following cystoprostatectomy for carcinoma. The technique is described and 84 patients treated during a 25-year interval are reviewed.

Methods: The best candidates from fine-mapping analysis of 21 ABCB1 SNPs tagging C1236T (rs1128503), G2677T/A (rs2032582), and C3435T (rs1045642) were analysed in 4616 European invasive EOC patients from thirteen Ovarian Cancer Association Consortium (OCAC) studies and The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA).
Between January 1987 and January 1991, 110 detubularized U-shaped ileocystoplasties (Camey II) following radical cystectomy were carried out in our Department of Urology (CMC Foch Suresnes, France). Our first evaluation of this procedure was carried out in 1989 and reviewed initial 57 patients operated on. These data were compared with those of the Camey I operation.

Bladder replacement, which maintains body image, made this mutilation more acceptable for the patient and more easily offered for early stages T1b, T2. According to the progresses of oncologic knowledge, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, it seems reasonable to think that within less than 10 years, conservative treatments for bladder cancer will probably make obsolete radical cystectomy and, of course, associated bladder replacement.

The authors report five cases of fibrous polyps of the urinary tract, which is a rare disease, as Mazeman only reported 12 cases in his review in 1972. These cases confirm the polymorphic nature of the clinical presentation and the site of these tumours of mesodermal origin, essentially composed of richly vascular connective tissue covered with surface epithelium. Treatment is surgical and conservative.

Nitroxolin in vitro and in urine inhibits bacterial adherence of E. coli 38 (MS/MS) on HeLa cells and epithelial cells from human bladder mucosa.

They discuss perioperative complications; postoperative complications including mortality, gastrointestinal problems, urologic problems, and infections; and late complications such as ileal bladder problems, upper urinary tract problems, secondary diversions, and incontinence.

Followup ranged from 3 to 8 years. As determined by excretory urography, retrograde ileography and urine bacteriology studies the method was effective in 85 per cent of the patients, with a low rate of stenosis (1.

Despite the history the existence of a renal tumor with no apparent metastatic spread and hematuria justified nephrectomy, which led to the confirmation of metastasis to the kidney. Metastases of esophageal cancers represent only 4.
