Menetrier's disease (MD) is a protein-losing gastropathy characterized by acute generalized edema due to hypoalbuminemia. MD is rare in childhood, and it is commonly associated with cytomegalovirus infection. We reported two children, who presented with a history of generalized edema after some days of abdominal pain and diarrhea.

Electrical nerve stimulation and exercise both enhance motor axon regeneration in rodents and patients, but these interventions cannot always be easily implemented.

Jansen-de Vries syndrome (JdVS) is an autosomal dominant neurodevelopmental disorder with intellectual disability and gastrointestinal (GI) abnormalities, including recurrent vomiting. This study aimed to understand the frequency and severity of GI symptoms in JdVS patients and to investigate the potential association with cyclic vomiting syndrome (CVS), which has not been previously reported. An international online survey assessed the prevalence and features of CVS and GI disorders in JdVS patients using Rome IV Criteria.

Very high-speed running (VHSR) profile in elite female football: An update.

The aim of the present study it's a providing an update of the profile of very high-speed running (VHSR) of professional female football players. In this study 23 official matches of the Spanish First Division of Women´s Football were analysed. A total of 15 players participated, who were classified according to their location on the matches played: central-corridor (CCP, n = 7), and lateral-corridor (LCP, n = 8).

Relevance of next generation sequencing (NGS) data re-analysis in the diagnosis of monogenic diseases leading to organ failure.

Background: In 2018, our center started a program to offer genetic diagnosis to patients with kidney and liver monogenic rare conditions, potentially eligible for organ transplantation. We exploited a clinical exome sequencing approach, followed by analyses of in silico gene panels tailored to clinical suspicions, obtaining detection rates in line with what reported in literature. However, a percentage of patients remains without a definitive genetic diagnosis.

A case study of learning in plants: Lessons learned from pea plants.

To facilitate the study of learning in plants, we share our experiences of trying to replicate the pea plant experiment of Gagliano et al. In the course of our efforts, we identified 11 issues that must be addressed when attempting to replicate these experiments. The issues range from germination and transplantation of seedlings to experimental design and apparatus issues.

Inhibition of Botrytis cinerea in tomatoes by allyl-isothiocyanate release from black mustard (Brassica nigra) seeds and detection by E-nose.

The aim of this work is to delayed the postharvest development of Botrytis cinerea in tomatoes by releasing allyl-isothiocyanate (AITC) from mustard seeds at room temperature, and to discriminate the aromatic profile by using an electronic device (E-nose).
