Parthenocarpy is a desirable trait with potential for increasing yield and quality in processing cucumber production. Although many successful parthenocarpic fresh market cucumber varieties have been developed, the genetic and molecular mechanisms behind parthenocarpic expression in cucumber remain largely unknown.
