Purpose: To report the normative dimensions of the frontal nerve (FN) on fat-suppressed suppressed gadolinium (fs-gad) enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Method: A retrospective cohort study of patients who underwent coronal fs-gad T1-weighted MRI. Orbits were excluded if there was unilateral or bilateral pathology of the FN or optic nerve sheath (ONS), incomplete MRI sequences, poor image quality or indiscernible FN on radiological assessment.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate lacrimal gland (LG) enlargement in thyroid eye disease (TED) patients on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Methods: A retrospective review was conducted on TED patients who had undergone fat-suppressed contrast-enhanced T1-weighted MRI of the orbits. The lacrimal gland was segmented on OsiriX in consecutive axial and coronal slices to determine its volume.

Purpose: To report the normative dimensions of the infraorbital nerve on fat-suppressed gadolinium-enhanced MRI and correlate with patient demographics in an Australian cohort.
Methods: A retrospective review of patients who underwent coronal fat-suppressed gadolinium T1-weighted MRI from September 2021 to December 2023. One hundred sixty-eight orbits were included.
Purpose: To develop and validate a deep learning facial landmark detection network to automate the assessment of periocular anthropometric measurements.
Methods: Patients presenting to the ophthalmology clinic were prospectively enrolled and had their images taken using a standardised protocol. Facial landmarks were segmented on the images to enable calculation of marginal reflex distance (MRD) 1 and 2, palpebral fissure height (PFH), inner intercanthal distance (IICD), outer intercanthal distance (OICD), interpupillary distance (IPD) and horizontal palpebral aperture (HPA).
Objectives: The first aim of this study was to assess the predictive power of Tend interval (Te) and non-invasive hemodynamic markers, based on bioimpedance in decompensated chronic heart failure (CHF). The second one was to verify the possible differences in repolarization and hemodynamic data between CHF patients grouped by level of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). Finally, we wanted to check if repolarization and hemodynamic data changed with clinical improvement or worsening in CHF patients.

Using bio-impedance to deduce some hemodynamic parameters combined with some short-term ECG temporal dispersion intervals, and measuring myocardial depolarization, intraventricular conduction, and repolarization. A total of 65 in-hospital patients (M/F:35/30) were enrolled, 39 with HFrEF and 26 HFpEF, in New York Heart Association (NYHA) class IV. Stroke volume (SVI), cardiac indexes (CI), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEFBIO), end diastolic volume (LV-EDV), and other systolic and diastolic parameters were noninvasively obtained at enrollment and at hospital discharge.

This was accomplished by means of monoclonal antibodies specific for vimentin and alpha-SM actin and immunocytochemical technique. The study, revealed that every disc cell constantly expressed vimentin.

The skin of road pavers is exposed to a large number of compounds such as asphalt, bitumen, amines, polymers, oils, solvents, sand, gravel, crushed rock, mineral wad, ultraviolet light and heat. In order to verify an up-regulation of HSP27, determined by the above mentioned stimuli, we studied, immunohistochemically, the forearm skin of a sample of road pavers occupationally exposed. A total of 25 punch biopsies (3 mm diameters) was obtained from the foream skin of road paver workers (n=16) and a control group (n=5) not exposed.
