This population-based study investigated the prevalence of de novo, multitype, post-coronavirus disease (COVID) pain and its associated risk factors in previously hospitalized coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) survivors. The nationwide, cross-sectional study included a cohort of Danish residents previously hospitalized due to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 infection between March 2020 and December 2021. Demographic data, preexisting medical comorbidities, previous pain-related symptoms, medication use for pain management, pain intensity (4-point scale), and development of de novo, multitype, post-COVID pain were collected by a self-reported survey distributed via e-Boks (a secured national digital mail system used in Denmark to provide public information to residents).

Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) is a disorder forming one of the several severe cutaneous adverse reactions, a group that includes, as well, erythema multiforme, toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN), and SJS/TEN overlap. These adverse reactions are characterized by their severe involvement of the skin and the oral, gastrointestinal, genital, and conjunctival mucosa. The purposes of the study described herein were to perform a literature review of studies describing the clinical presentations and management of SJS patients with oral manifestations and to present a case report of a patient treated with dapsone gel.

Intervertebral implants should be designed with low load requirements, high friction coefficient and low elastic modulus in order to avoid the stress shielding effect on bone. Furthermore, the presence of a highly interconnected porous structure allows stimulating bone in-growth and enhancing implant-bone fixation. The aim of this study was to obtain bioactive porous titanium implants with highly interconnected pores with a total porosity of approximately 57 %.
