Wavelet Coherence Analysis of Plasma Beta, Alfven Mach Number, and Magnetosonic Mach Number during Different Geomagnetic Storms.

We study the variation in plasma beta, Alfven Mach number, and magnetosonic Mach number during different geomagnetic storms of solar cycles 23, 24, and 25. In addition, we employ measurements of the solar wind's flow pressure, proton density, interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) along the -direction (Bz), temperature, velocity, and geomagnetic index SYM-H. Here, the wavelet coherence (WTC) approach of plasma beta, the Alfven Mach number, and the magnetosonic Mach number have been used with the symmetrical H component (SYM-H) index, which are critical indicators of the plasma behavior and magnetic field interactions.

Determinants of resistive index shortly after transplantation: independent relationship with delayed graft function.

Measurement of the vascular resistive index (RI) by Doppler ultrasonography has been proposed as a non-invasive method to evaluate renal allograft dysfunction, but there are conflicting reports about its clinical utility. The aim of our study was to analyse the donor and recipient characteristics related to RI measured at days 2 and 3 after renal transplantation and the relationship between RI and allograft outcome. RI was measured by Doppler ultrasonography in 333 patients at days 2 or 3 post-transplantation.

[Primary testicular tumor].

Objective: To report a case of primary germ cell testicular tumor that spontaneously remitted after metastasizing to the retroperitoneum, leaving histologically characteristic lesions of a fused tumor. The characteristic testicular ultrasound findings that permitted the diagnosis are described.

Methods/results: A 21-year-old male consulted for a retroperitoneal mass.

Transrectal sonography in the assessment of vaginal pathology: a preliminary study.

Purpose: We assessed the value of transrectal sonography (TRUS) in the diagnosis of vaginal abnormalities.

Methods: Six women between 16 and 77 years old underwent TRUS with a biplanar probe equipped with 5-MHz axial sector and longitudinal linear transducers. Sagittal and axial images of the bladder, vagina, and urethra were obtained.

[Traumatic thrombosis of the renal artery].

The authors describe five cases of radiological diagnosis of traumatic thrombosis of the renal artery, paying special attention to the aortography as a positive source of information able to provide on its own a guide to rapid and correct treatment. Special reference is made to the positive errors of filling of the excretory duct in the I.V.
