Brown rot is a disease that affects stone and pome fruit crops worldwide. It is caused by fungal members of the genus , mainly , and . This study presents evidence that, despite having a very similar battery of Cell Wall Degrading Enzymes (CWDEs), the three species behave differently during the early stages of infection, suggesting differences at the regulatory level, which could also explain the differences in host preference among the three species.

Objective: This study was conducted to investigate individuals' perceptions of media messages about the COVID-19 pandemic and the effect of these messages on their fear and uncertainty.
Methods: Data for this descriptive correlational study were collected between October and November 2020. A total of 653 individuals living in Turkey provided online survey data by completing a Personal Information Form, the Pandemic Uncertainty Scale, and the COVID-19 Pandemic Fear Scale.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of nursing interventions applied to elderly individuals to improve rational use of medicines (RUM) and awareness through home visits. It was carried out in a prospective, randomized controlled experimental design with the pretest-post-test control group. The study was completed with 74 elderly individuals aged ≥65 years living in a rural area.

In this study, we identify key carbohydrate-active enzymes (CAZymes) involved in cell wall degradation by Monilinia fructicola, including pme2 and pme3 (pectin methylesterases), cut1 (cutinase) and nep2 (necrosis-inducing factor). The expression of these genes is significantly modulated by red and blue light during early nectarine infection.

Objectives: This study aims to analyse the way immigrants and their personality traits get affected by traumatic events in the post-migration process.
Methods: This descriptive study was conducted through Google Forms with the involvement of 2,509 immigrants. A descriptive questionnaire, the "IFOMA Post-Migration Post-Traumatic Effect Scale" and the "GADOT Personality Types Determination Scale" were used to collect the research data.
Light represents a powerful signal for the regulation of virulence in many microbial pathogens. is the most virulent species causing brown rot in stone fruit crops. To understand the influence of light on , we measured the effect of white light and photoperiods on the colonial growth and sporulation of the model strain 38C on solid cultures.

Because this previous data was collected using methodologies that varied in critical aspects, such as culture media and size range of alkanoic acids, it has been difficult to compare the results for a thorough understanding of the relationship between feedstock and PHA production.

Raw and torrefied rice hulls (RRH and TRH) were incorporated into polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) as fillers using extrusion and injection molding to produce biomass-polymer composites. Filler and composite materials were characterized by particle size analysis, thermomechanical analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, FTIR analysis, CHNSO analysis, and mechanical testing. Heat distortion temperature of the RRH composites were 16-22 °C higher than TRH composites.

The necrotrophic pathogenic fungus causes brown rot disease on stone fruit generating significant yield losses. So far, a limited number of pathogenesis-related virulence factors, such as cell wall degrading enzymes and potential phytotoxins, have been described in spp. Using RNA-sequencing data from highly virulent ML8L strain at early stages of the infection process (6, 14, 24, and 48 h post-inoculation, hpi) on nectarine and the Pathogen-Host-Interactions (PHI) database, we selected a number of genes for further study and ranked them according to their transcription levels.

Cherry brown rot caused by was observed and estimated in organic cherry orchard located in the Jerte Valley between 2013 and 2018 (Cáceres, Spain). Climatic variables were collected from this orchard and also from a nearby weather station. The primary inoculum of the pathogen recorded in March was detected in overwintered mummified fruits, ground mummies, and necrotic twigs and was a function of the average temperature of the previous three months (December, January, and February).
