Discovering a "sense of community": patient experiences of connection in intentionally remote eating disorder care.

Background: While some findings indicate high levels of patient satisfaction with remote eating disorder treatment, others reflect feelings of disconnection due to unique telehealth treatment challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic presented circumstances that likely impacted the findings established thus far. As such, the present study sought to understand patient experiences of connection in an intentionally remote eating disorder treatment program, specifically in a context outside of pandemic transition.

Outcomes for binge eating disorder in a remote weight-inclusive treatment program: a case report.

Background: There are no known published reports on outcomes for medically and psychiatrically compromised patients with binge eating disorder (BED) treated remotely in higher level of care settings. This case report presents outcomes of an intentionally remote weight-inclusive partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program based on Health at Every Size® and intuitive eating principles.

Case Presentation: The patient presented with an extensive trauma background and long history of disturbed eating and body image.

Impact of multimodal therapy on margin status on overall survival for patients undergoing adrenalectomy for localized adrenocortical carcinoma.

Introduction: Adrenocortical carcinoma is a rare malignancy that typically presents with advanced features and carries a poor prognosis. Complete surgical resection offers patients the best survival outcomes, but this is not always achievable and many require additional therapy for advanced features. Some literature has explored the role of chemotherapy and radiation, but little has been conducted to explore the effects of multimodal therapy.

Food and alcohol disturbance among US college students: a mixed methods scoping review.

Objective: Conduct a scoping review of food and alcohol disturbance (FAD) in US college students to overview the literature within this population and identify research opportunities.

Methods: Studies ( = 39) were selected using systematic searches of databases and references. Search terms included: drunkorexia, "food and alcohol disturbance," and "compensatory behavior" AND alcohol AND eating.

The Growth of Integrated Care Models in Urology.

With heightened awareness of health care outcomes and efficiencies and reimbursement-based metrics, it is ever more important that urologists consider the effects of integrated care models on physicians/staff/clinics fulfillment and patient outcomes, and whether and how to optimally implement these models within their unique practice settings. Despite growing evidence that integrating care improves outcomes, uncertainty persists regarding which approach is most efficient and achievable in terms of specialty considerations and financial resources. In this article, we discuss strategies for integrating urologic care and its impact on current and future health care delivery.

Pilot study of a personality-based approach to assessing eating disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder symptom risk in college men and women.

: To conduct a pilot test of the validity of using empirically derived personality types to characterize eating disorder (ED) risk in college students and resolve discrepancies regarding the role of perfectionism and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) symptoms. Man and woman undergraduate students ( = 169) at a small, private university. Data were collected from February to May 2016 and 2018.
