We describe a 20-year-old male with no significant medical history who presented with a 1-month history of painless upper and lower lip edema initially treated with antibiotics for suspected cellulitis before arriving to the clinic. After a failed response to that treatment, a lip biopsy was eventually performed and consistent with a diagnosis of granulomatous cheilitis. In addition to oral and topical corticosteroids and tacrolimus, the patient adopted the cinnamon- and benzoate-free diet with some improvement of his lip swelling.

A 12-month-old boy presented with three months of asymptomatic hypopigmented flat-topped papules on the suprapubic skin and lower abdomen. Emollients and topical steroids offered no improvementand the patient was referred to the dermatology department. Shave biopsy revealed a papillated epidermis with scattered solitary mononuclearclear cells at all levels of the epidermis and an overlying basket weave orthokeratosis.

On July 7, 2015, a man aged 22 years reported to sick call during basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base (AFB), Texas. He had erythematous, crusted papulovesicular lesions on the extensor surfaces of the upper and lower extremities. The patient was afebrile and otherwise well, and was evaluated later that day by the dermatology service.
