Article Synopsis
  • Ceracris kiangsu is significantly influenced by climate change and is a potential ecological threat, making habitat prediction essential for effective pest management.
  • The study used the Biomod2 package in R to simulate current and future habitat distributions under two greenhouse gas scenarios (SSP1-26 and SSP5-85), revealing that suitable habitats are likely to expand, especially in Southeast Asia.
  • Results indicate that the center of suitable habitats is shifting northeast and overlaps significantly, suggesting that invaded areas have greater habitat suitability than their native regions, highlighting the need for improved pest control strategies.

Forest structure plays an important role in forest biomass inversion using synthetic aperture radar (SAR) backscatter. Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) sensors with long-wavelength have the potentiality to provide reliable and timely forest biomass inversion for their ability of deep penetration into the forest. L-band SAR backscatter shows useful for forest above-ground biomass (AGB) estimation.
