Aim: Transcutaneous electrical cranial-auricular acupoint stimulation (TECAS) is a novel non-invasive therapy that stimulates acupoints innervated by the trigeminal and auricular vagus nerves. An assessor-blinded, randomized, non-inferiority trial was designed to compare the efficacy of TECAS and escitalopram in mild-to-moderate major depressive disorder.

Methods: 468 participants received two TECAS sessions per day at home (n = 233) or approximately 10-13 mg/day escitalopram (n = 235) for 8 weeks plus 4-week follow-up.

To summarize and analyze the effect of extracranial/intracranial vascular bypass in the treatment of internal carotid artery burst hemorrhage after radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC). A retrospective analysis of the data of 9 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma and carotid artery blowout syndrome(CBS) who underwent extracranial/intracranial vascular bypass. Collected patient demographics, treatment course and dose of radiotherapy, analyze the effect of extracranial/intracranial vascular bypass on the prognosis of patients with internal carotid artery burst hemorrhage, including perioperative stroke and death, overall survival rate, and rebleeding rate.

Background: The impact of nocturnal disturbance (ND) in Parkinson's disease on quality of life of patients in Western Countries is increasingly understood. Our study aimed to investigate ND prevalence and its quality of life impact in patients with advanced Parkinson's disease in China.

Methods: In a multicenter, tertiary-care hospital, outpatient-based, cross-sectional study, patients with advanced Parkinson's disease (Modified Hoehn & Yahr [H&Y] Stage II-IV with ≥3 h awake "off" time/day) from 10 tertiary hospitals throughout China completed the Parkinson's Disease Sleep Scale-2 (PDSS-2) and Parkinson's Disease Questionnaire-39 (PDQ-39).

Objective: The aim of this meta-analysis was to undertake a meta-analysis to evaluate the correlation between cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4) gene rs221775 A>G single nucleotide polymorphism and the susceptibility of multiple sclerosis (MS) susceptibility.

Method: Published manuscripts about CTLA-4 gene rs221775A>G single nucleotide polymorphism and multiple sclerosis susceptibility were searched in the computerized bibliographic searches of Pubmed Embase and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI). Potential studies were screened and data for 5025 MS patients and 4706 controls from 20 publications were included.
