Background: Microscopic colitis (MC) is a chronic inflammatory condition of the colon, primarily characterized by watery diarrhea, with normal or near-normal endoscopic findings. It encompasses two main subtypes: lymphocytic colitis and collagenous colitis.
Objective: This position paper from the Brazilian Federation of Gastroenterology aims to review current evidence on the diagnosis and management of MC in Brazil, emphasizing the need for standardization across the country's healthcare systems.

Objective: This narrative review explores alternative non-antibiotic antimicrobial agents for CRS management in adults.
Methods: Alternative antimicrobial agents using EPOS 2020 guidelines as reference were selected, and articles dated from 2003 to 2022 in English, Portuguese, or Spanish using PubMed and EMBASE databases. The parameters analyzed included study design, evidence level, population characteristics, CRS characteristics, interventions, outcomes, sample size, randomization, blinding, and side effects.

The objective of this scoping review is to update the current information and the level of knowledge about the mechanisms of microvascular dysfunction in pre-SSc, very early diagnosis of SSc (VEDOSS) and early SSc.
Methods: A PubMed® database search allowed us to include original data from full-length articles in English in which the main topic was microvascular dysfunction in pre-SSC, VEDOSS or early SSc.
Background: Primary Raynaud's phenomenon (pRP) is difficult to distinguish from secondary (sRP). Although nailfold capillaroscopy (NFC) may detect early alterations, no universal criteria yet discriminate between pRP from sRP.
Objectives: To create and validate two NFC scores that could distinguish pRP from sRP and that could predict systemic sclerosis (SSc), respectively.
Erythromelalgia (EM) is a rare disease, which is still poorly characterized. In the present paper, we compared the hand perfusion of one female EM patient, under challenges, with a healthy control group. Method: Descriptive-exploratory study with a qualitative approach, conducted with 37 professionals from the nursing team of five hemodialysis clinics, located in the cities of Sobral and Fortaleza, in Ceará, Brazil. Data were collected from October to December 2021, through semi-structured interviews recorded and analyzed by Descending Hierarchical Classification.
Protection in many service areas is mandatory for good performance in daily activities of workers, especially health areas. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is used to protect patients and health workers from contamination by harmful pathogens and body fluids during clinical attendance. Objective: To analyze the effectiveness of an educational video on deaf people's knowledge and skills about cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Method: A randomized trial, carried out at three schools with 113 deaf people (control group = 57 and intervention group = 56). After the pre-test, the control group was exposed to the lecture, while the intervention group was exposed to the video.
The use of organic peroxides for the preparation of homemade explosives (HMEs) is common among terrorists due to inexpensive precursor chemicals and simple synthetic procedures. Triacetone triperoxide (TATP) is the most notable peroxide explosive, and has been deployed in several terrorist attacks as explosive filling of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Forensic identification of TATP in pre-blast and post-blast residues, including on-site analysis, poses significant analytical challenges and induces demand for practicable and sensitive detection techniques.

The parameters used in the electrospinning process to obtain the fibers were distance from the needle to the collecting target of 12 cm, flow of 1 mL h and voltage of 14 kV. The best mass ratio of semiconductors in the polymeric fiber was defined from a 2 experimental design, and the values obtained were 10% TiO-R, 1% FeO at pH 7.

Case Presentation: We report the case of a 13-year-old male child who presented with a macule in the lumbosacral region and disabling polyostotic FD, requiring several surgical interventions and bisphosphonates from the age of 3 years (Y) + 9 months (M) due to persistent and severe pain. Hyperthyroidism (HT) became apparent at 5 Y + 1 M with a T3/T4 ratio greater than 20.
