Objective: To describe standard of care and inform the evolving unmet need among extensive stage small-cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) patients in Japan since approval of first-line anti-PD-L1 therapies, we describe treatment patterns and overall survival by line of therapy.

Methods: We conducted a descriptive analysis of adult ES-SCLC patients in Japan using de-identified patient data within the MDV database (hospital-based claims) to describe treatment patterns and DeSC database (payer-based claims linked to mortality of municipality records) to describe both treatment patterns and real-world overall survival (rwOS).

Results: The study population of MDV and DeSC cohorts included 6302 and 903 patients, respectively.

Ferroelectric properties of HfZrO are strongly correlated with its crystallographic orientation, with the [001] direction serving as the polar axis. However, the epitaxial growth of highly polar-axis-oriented HfZrO layers with pronounced ferroelectricity is rarely reported. Here epitaxial (001)-oriented HfZrO thin films grown by atomic layer epitaxy (ALE) is demonstrated, which achieve a state-of-the-art ferroelectric polarization up to 78.

Yunlin County, Taiwan, faces healthcare challenges given its super-aged population, limited medical accessibility, and a rise in chronic wounds. To address these issues, we introduced the "Fight Out to CARE" project, dispatching wound nurses to patients' locations to perform Cleansing, Avoidance, Removal, and Enhancement (CARE) under tele-supervision from a plastic surgeon. The program was conducted weekly in 2018 and twice monthly in 2019 for 53 weeks.

Remote epitaxy is taking center stage in creating freestanding complex oxide thin films with high crystallinity that could serve as an ideal building block for stacking artificial heterostructures with distinctive functionalities. However, there exist technical challenges, particularly in the remote epitaxy of perovskite oxides associated with their harsh growth environments, making the graphene interlayer difficult to survive. Transferred graphene, typically used for creating a remote epitaxy template, poses limitations in ensuring the yield of perovskite films, especially when pulsed laser deposition (PLD) growth is carried out, since graphene degradation can be easily observed.

Gyrokinetic tokamak plasmas can exhibit intrinsic toroidal rotation driven by the residual stress. Multimachine empirical scaling predicts an extremely narrow heat exhaust layer in future high magnetic field tokamaks, producing high power densities that require mitigation. In the experiments presented, the width of this exhaust layer is nearly doubled using actuators to increase turbulent transport in the plasma edge. This is achieved in low collisionality, high confinement edge pedestals with their gradients limited by turbulent transport instead of large-scale, coherent instabilities.
