Three methods of diagnostic imaging : bi-dimensional ultrasonography, scanography and 111Indium-labelled platelet scintigraphy were compared in 61 patients to detect left intraventricular thrombotic lesions, in order to determine their respective diagnostic values.

Although a small number of patients were studied (5 cases of osteonecrosis and 5 of decalcification) the series was homogeneous (same investigator for each technique and identical equipment for each patient), and the different methods of investigation (conventional radiology, scintigraphy computed scanography CE 10,000 and 0.15 resistive NMR imaging) could be validly compared.

Radiologic exploration is conceived and used at the present time for two purposes. Firstly, it enables selection of patients with suspected acoustic nerve neurinoma.

Patients with gallbladder dysfunction were examined radiologically before and after oral administration of 20 to 40 ml of sorbiperan, the dose varying as a function of bodyweight. In 3 patients, the hypermobility of the gallbladder provoked by this agent was greater than that observed with all usually employed products, in 11 cases the cholagogue produced an excellent effect, while in one case there was no observed effect.
